I woke up after my nap, sat up, and checked my phone. The time read '5:59 p.m.' My eyes widened as I realized how long I was asleep.

"12 HOURS?!" I rushed to stand up and remembered the eyes I saw from the trees before I fell asleep late at night. I quickly swung my head in the direction of the trees, and inspected them. I slowly walked towards them. When I was around 50 feet away, I heard something rusle in a nearby tree. When I got closer to inspect it countless Spearow, two Fearow, a few Pidgey and Pidgeotto flew out of the forest and flapped their wings and ascended into the sky. I could see fear in one of the Fearows' eyes and a little fear grew in me. I put my hand up to my chin.

"If a Fearow is scared of something, that must mean there is something terrible in there." I contemplated in my head if it was a good idea or not to go and investigate. I shook my head.

"If there is one trait that I'm not afraid to admit I got from my father, is going to investigate situations where Pokemon may be hurt." As soon as I finished talking I heard a loud cry from a Pokemon. "SPEAR!!!!" It sounded like a cry of pain, but the cry was accompanied with another voice.

"I don't know why the boss wants a Spearow. But you are coming with us. So stop fighting!!!!!" My heart dropped as I heard the Spearow cry again. I dashed through the woods, filled with anger. You have to be quite a terrible human to be able to do something like this!

I jumped over some twigs and followed the sound in which the cries and the voice were originating from. After a couple minutes of running, I tripped and landed face first on the ground. I looked up and saw the back of a man and instantly crawled to the back of a tree. I peeked just enough to see him and a Dragonite.

He has a Dragonite?! After peeking from the tree a little more I noticed the Spearow. Its stomach was on the ground and it was trying to force itself back up. I saw it's wings and it's entire body shaking, but it seemed to refuse to give up.

Why would someone want a Spearow? Even go through all of this trouble?

"Dragonite. One more attack should knock it out. Now, use Thunderpunch." After I heard the command, I ran from behind the tree and shoved the man to the ground, and ran in front of Spearow. I was a couple feet away from Dragonite. The hat of the man fell off, showing his curly brown hair. His eyes seemed full of bloodlust.

All I did was shove him down. Why is he this angry?!

"Dragonite. Continue the attack on the kid."

"DRAG!" Dragonite clenched it's right fist and in a second it was overtaken by electricity. Beams of electricity shot from its hand and struck nearby trees, causing them to fall down to the ground. The fear returned to my eyes as it launched itself towards me. I coughed up blood when Dragonite forced it's fist onto my stomach causing me to fly to a nearby tree and slam my back on it. I fell to the ground and put my arm on it, forcing myself back up. I threw my fist on the ground and then placed my knees on the ground. Both of my hands were placed on my knees, and helped me get back up. I held my left arm and squinted my left eye.

"....." I kept silent.

"Kid. Just get out of the way. I'm not afraid to kill you." My face turned a bright red, full of anger.

"WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO A POKEMON?! ESPECIALLY A SPEAROW! IT'S NOT WORTH IT!" The man laughed crazily as he placed his hat back on his head. I looked at it and it had a huge 'G'. His eyes then locked onto mine.

"I have my orders. Now, leave." A huge smirk formed on his face. I was not going to let him kill a Pokemon... even if it made no sense. I looked down and clenched my fist as hard as I could. I growled and looked at the Dragonite, dashing towards it.

"Fine. Have it your way." The man threw out his hand and Dragonite launched itself into the air. I threw my punch at the man and he grabbed my fist, twisted it, and kicked me to the ground. I crawled back to the Spearow and got up, looked at the Dragonite, and saw two blades of air flying through the sky. Towards me.

I spun around and grabbed the Spearow, holding it up to my chest, and ran towards the trees. The blades of air hit the ground, creating a crater after it. I only caught a glimpse of the moment they struck the ground as I went flying and landed on my back. I squinted in pain and picked my head up a little bit noticing that I was still holding Spearow. It looked at me, shook, and fainted. I fought threw the pain and put Spearow down by a nearby tree. I struggled to get up, but did so.

"Ugh. Kids these days are sooooo hard to kill." He sarcastically said. The man had Dragonite fly towards me at extreme speeds, using Thunderpunch. I jumped out of the way and landed on my back. The Dragonite hit it's head on a tree, snapping it in half, and looked towards me. In a second it was 20 feet away from me. My legs stiffened and I was unable to move. Paralyzed with fear. I tried to close my eyes, but they were unresponsive. I got ready for the worst when I saw a Pokemon dash out of the trees and cover themselves in a bright white light. The air was shoved out of their way as they slammed into Dragonite, throwing it into nearby trees. It ultimately landed in the crater before catching some good ground to stop. I looked towards the Pokemon that had just saved me, and saw it slam onto the ground. It still got up acting like it went through no pain.

"That was the move Take Down. But what Pokemon was that?" I has gained control of my legs once again, sighed in relief, and ran to the Pokemon. I crouched next to it and realized it was a Bulbasaur.

"Cool! These are ra-" I stopped mid sentence when I noticed a scar on its right cheeck. I inspected it and realized it was a scar made from being cut. My eyes widened.

"Dads...Bulbasaur?" Last time I saw Bulbasaur was when Dad went to Kalos to stop some team from destroying the place. Of course he won, but Dad said Bulbasaur had been missing ever since.

Bulbasaur darted it's eyes towards mine and used Take Down on me. I hit a tree as Bulbasaur yelled and dropped to the ground turning to Dragonite. Bulbasaur ran towards Dragonite, and Dragonite powered up its fist with Electricity. As Bulbasaur jumped in the air, Dragonite swiftly moved out of the way and threw it's fist towards Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur was electrocuted and sent flying through the air. He then faced towards the ground, and moved his bulb towards Dragonite. There was a bright green ball slowly getting bigger above the bulb.

The energy from the sun continued being absorbed into Bulbasaurs attack. He then released the energy and a line of green aura pierced through the air, hitting it's target. Dragonite used it's wings to hover in the air, and used it's arms to block the attack by Bulbasaur. Dragonite struggled and ultimately lost the fight of who was stronger. Dragonite shot into the ground, crushing the ground underneath it. Bulbasaur landed back on the ground, yelling it's cry. He ran back towards me and jumped on my shoulder, looking towards Dragonite. The man, I and the Spearow now in my hands, walked towards Dragonite. When we have arrived we noticed Dragonite was unable to move. The man gasped in shock and stumbled backwards.

"B..but how. Dragonite...she resists grass type attacks. But..how." He grabbed his Pokeball and a beam of energy shot from it and hit Dragonite. Dragonite formed into the energy and retreated to the ball. The man fell backwards and looked at the Bulbasaur. The man whispered quietly so I wouldn't hear."W...wait. Why is our experiment out of its....oh. I get it." He laughed maniacally as he grabbed a ball of purple aura from his pants pocket, and threw it behind him. The balk exploded and in its place stood a portal. The man jumped through it and I stood in place, confused.

"What the." The Spearow groaned in pain and I realized I was still holding Spearow. Spearow turned out to be a she. I grabbed one of the potions from my pocket and sprayed it on Spearow, instantly healing her. I smiled as she woke up and blinked a few times. When she saw my face she flew away into a nearby tree. I ran over to the tree and put my arms out.

"There's no need to be afraid. I'm right here. I won't hurt you."
