As we were on our way to dropping me off, Crystal started talking about what to look for in high school and started to ramble about some random stuff. Honestly, I literally zoned out while she was talking to me. "HEY DIME!" I hate it when she calls me that. "I need you to snap out of that daze and LISTEN TO ME!
"What??" I say annoyed.
" I asked. Did you eat breakfast? If you did we are still goin to McDonald's to eat." She says in a stern voice.
" Yes yes sister. I did eat breakfast. I'll just get a smoothie." I love McDonald's smoothies. They're the best.
As we pull up into the drive through, Crystal starts to look through her so called 'wallet'. It is like weirdly shaped and expensive looking. As Crystal gets to the order place, her face just changes. Like it is really weird.
While she was ordering this familiar voice comes out of the speaker. I now know why she looks like that now. "Look, I just want two breakfast burritos, ice Coffee, and a banana strawberry smoothie." Well she is now in a bad b mode. I don't want to mess with her now.
We get to the pick up area. Crystal now says in a sweetish tone but with an get my stuff and get out my face, " Give me my food so I can pay and get outta here." I've never really ever heard her speak like that.
The girl that comes back. Oh my gosh. Now I know why Crystal was annoyed. It was her ex. Although Crystal doesn't really tell me things she tells me just the little parts. "Destiny, look I really don't need any of your bs and especially when my sister is in the car. So give me my food and drinks." The girl then turned around and got our food shoved it in Crystals face and then try's to say something but Crystal presses the gas pedal and we leave.
"What time does you have to be at school by?" She asked. " 8:30". " Alright. We have five minutes to get there then, sorry you had to witness that. I want you to enjoy your first day of Highschool." She tells me and her voice cracks.
Tears slowly start to fall down her face and she quickly wipes them away and with that, we pull up at the school and she tells me "Alright Diamond. Have a great day at school. I might pick you up a bit early. So be ready. I will explain the best I can to you what happened. Just don't worry about it."
And with that. I lean over and place a kiss on her cheek, grab my smoothie and book bag, and get out of the car to see the door close behind me. And with that. She leaves.
