Jake's POV
Standing there was my girlfriend, Erika Costell. We've been dating for a month but she's been acting kind of bitchy lately, I was thinking of breaking up with her, but i decided to give her a week to see if she's still a bitch.
(Erika: ER)
Er: hey babe
She tried to kiss me but I pulled away and hugged her instead.
Er: come in
I walked in her house and sat on the couch, she sat next to me. We started talking, after a while, I noticed something on her neck, a fresh hickey. I knew it wasn't from me since she just came back from a business trip this morning.
J: what the fuck is on your neck
Er: I... I accidentally got some make up on my neck.
J: wipe off the 'makeup' off your neck then.
E: no, I'd rather not
Even though I knew she was lying, I reached out and tried to wipe it off, I was right, it was a hickey
J: you cheating slut
Er: jake I'm sorrry
J: I was gonna break up with you anyway so it doesn't really matter.
I stormed out of her house and she ran after me and grabbed my arm
Er: Jake, I was drunk
J: you're always drunk
I pulled my arm away and started walking home, even though I was gonna break up with her, it still hurt being cheated on. I felt tears forming in my eyes, I held them back. None of my friends have seen me cry before and I'd like to keep it that way. My phone started ringing, Logan was calling me.
L: Yo Jake where the fuck are you??
J: I'm on my way home
L: all of Team 10 is going to the movies, want me to drive you there??
J: no thanks, id rather go home.
L: Trust me you wouldn't wanna go home
J: why not?
L: huh? Nevermind, BYE!
He hung up. I arrived at home and opened the front door and saw...

Tessa's POV
I was sitting on the couch at the Team 10 house, scrolling through Instagram. Ethan just posted a shirtless picture, I blushed and liked the picture. I still don't understand why Ethan just ignored me this morning, ever since i joined Team 10 I just suddenly had bad luck with relationships. Every guy I've dated since I joined has either cheated on me, broke up with me out of nowhere, or just left town. The rest of Team 10 was at the movies, I stayed home since I didn't wanna be in public in the same place as Ethan AND Chance, that wouldn't end well. I'm trying to avoid both of them. I heard the front door open and it kinda startled me. I looked at the door waiting to see who walks in. The person walks in, it's Jake. Great... I get to spend alone time with Snake Paul himself! I feel like he despises me, idk what I've ever done to him though. When he walks in, he immediately sees me and runs upstairs. It kinda looked like he was crying. Nah, I'm probably just seeing things, Jake doesn't cry. I decided to check on him just in case, I know he hates me but i can't just leave him crying when he barely cries. I walk upstairs and knock on his room door.
T: Jake? You okay.
J: go away, I'm fine
Welp, at least I tried, I started to walk away, but then i hear a crying sound. Could it be?? No way, Jake Joseph Paul is ACTUALLY crying. Well, that's a first. I turn around and open Jake's door, his eyes were red and puffy from crying and he's sitting on his bed with tissues all around the room. It's like a scene from a cheesy heartbreak movie. When Jake saw me, he looked shocked, either because I just walked into his room without knocking or because I look STUNNING. We all know it's the second option. Nah, I'm just kidding. He immediately covers his face. I sat down next to him.
T: Jake, are you crying??
J: No!! I'm not crying, I don't cry, ok?!
T: Jake, I know you're crying
He uncovered his face and looked at me. He grabs a tissue and wipes his tears away.
J: now what are you gonna do? Take a picture of me crying and post it on social media?
T: why the fuck would i do that. Jake tell me what happened.
J: none of your fucking business
T: I know it's not my business, but I'm worried about you, you never cry. Even if you do hate me, I can't just leave you crying.
Jake doesn't say anything he just looks at the ground.
T: Jake, please tell me what happened, I can help.
J: you can't help
T: I can, I know I can
J: fine, Erika cheated on me.
T: holy shit, I'm so sorry Jake, I know how that feels.
J: you do??
T: yeah, my ex Jacob kept cheating on me and I couldn't break up with him since he used to abuse me.
J: really?? Why didn't you tell anyone
T: he threatened to kill me, and that's when I called the cops on him. Things will get better, Jake. You'll find another girl that will fix your broken heart.
J: you think so?
T: absolutely
He started to lean in to kiss me, but I didn't want to, shit, this is so awkward. I got up before he could kiss me.
J: shit, I'm sorry, I just got caught up in the moment.
T: it's not your fault, it's fine.
I walked out the room before things could get more awkward, I'm really confused, i thought Jake hated me. He'd always roll his eyes when I walk in a room, and he'd sometimes try to end the conversation early when we're talking, and he always give me death stares from across the room, why'd he try to kiss me?? I walked into my room and collapsed on my bed, I started thinking about everything that happened and I eventually fell asleep. Fuck, my life is so complicated.
