Stratos Industries

"Mr. Stratos, the building is almost empty. Um... it's already closing time."

I averted my attention to the middle-aged janitor in front of me. Letting out a sigh, I waved him off nonchalantly, "I'm staying a little longer tonight. I'll lock the doors Bernie, head home now and just relax." I mumbled tiredly, rubbing my eyes.

"Take it easy kid." Bernie said before walking out of my office, shutting the grey metal door quietly.

"Thanks." I replied to no one in particular as I continued to work on my computer.

Lately stocks had been decreasing. Business partners decided to up and leave without any explanation. My money was going to waste on useless projects they abandoned. To make it short, Stratos Industries was slowly sizzling and soon enough, this company will go up in flames. Working overnight to investigate this matter was a pain in the ass. All I've found out after these 72 hours of non-stop investigating was that an anonymous person gave my business partners a better deal.

Yes, a better fucking deal.

I was a billionaire, one of the youngest in the world and somehow this anonymous person bribed my business partners to work with them. It angered me to know that whoever this person was, was rich enough to bribe those idiots out of Stratos Industries. The countless emails stating that they didn't want to work for me anymore flooded my computer and I was done with it. I'm going to find whoever this bastard is and put him down on the ground.

But I needed a rest. I've been working crazy non-stop. Did I mention my secretary left me? No? Well after I told her that I couldn't pay her for a while, she slammed her folders on my desk and shimmied her ass out of my office without a second glance. After she left, half of my workers left too. Except for Bernie since he was a janitor and got paid the least. It didn't matter though, soon enough Stratos Industries won't even be able to pay that poor janitor.

Let alone need a janitor.

The stress was intense and I needed to leave this office at least tonight. As I turned off the lights and checked if all the doors were locked, I made my way to my mansion in Pacific Heights. On my way over there I dialed my fiancée's number, Nikita Soulis. Nikita and I have been going out for 3 years and so far it has been okay. I won't lie to myself saying it has been amazing but also it has been horrible at times. Nikita has her bitchy moments but at the end of the day she's the only one that can handle my ass and still love me.

"Hello babe?" she answered her phone, sounding busy over the line.

A small smile etched on to my features at the sound of her soft voice, "Hey, I'm heading home now."

"Ok, I'll see you then. Love you, bye." she then hung up.

Once I arrived home Nikita was already there with a fresh Caesar salad welcoming me. "So how was work today honey?" She sweetly asked.

"I honestly don't know what to say. It's been tough. The money is low and we are losing more workers by the minute. I don't know what to do." After my response she then suddenly took her hand off my shoulder and nodded and headed straight to bed, her expression blank and cold.

Nikita has been acting a lot more distant recently. Especially after the conflicts involving the company. She's just probably trying to give me space and her modeling job. I can't forget that I'm the only one working to live.

After I finished my salad, I took a quick shower and entered the bed where my lovely Queen was waiting. Her back was faced to me, making me frown slightly. She never went to bed without me. Now it was almost a daily routine for her to wake up, go to work without informing me, then come back home late at night with-- I'll be honest here-- a crappy salad.

At the end of the day, she'd be asleep, leaving me awake and frustrated. We'll talk about it sometime I guess, I needed to rest.

Closing my eyes, I let sleep engulf me.
