Unexpected.

Hanabi was a bit ahead of us. We are jumping from tree to tree heading towards the coast. We been at it for about an hour. Suddenly as I jumped on a branch my ankle twisted and I fell towards the ground. Inyu caught me before I hit the ground. He stood me up and stretched.

"Are you okay?" He asked looking into my eyes. His hazel eyes drew me in, I shook my head.

"I'm fine, Inyu. Thank you." I told him brushing my hair backwards. He smiled. He had a nice smile. Might be actually better than Lightning's. Then again I rarely see Lightning genuinely smile.

I tried to walk but my ankle twisted again and I dropped . That's not good.

"Oh lord. Here." Inyu crouch down in front of me. "I'll carry you, we can't slow down now otherwise we'll lose Lightning."

"I'm not getting on your back." I blushed.

"Got any other bright ideas Key?"

"Ugh. Fine. Um...Don't touch my butt please." I said getting on Inyu's back. I wrapped my hands around his neck.

He then ran ahead at super speed and jumped on the trees, after a while we caught up to Hanabi.

"Oh there you slowpokes are." She said

"You're just fast." I replied.

"Maybe, But we are on crunch time here." She replied. She made a face looking at me then Inyu then she shook her head and gave a fake smile.

After a while we reached the north coast of the Shadow Continent. There was a pile of debris nearby as if someone shot a projectile. I actually wonder how Lightning got across now that I think of it. He can't use water magic efficiently let alone walk on water.

"I got to use the ladies room." Hanabi said blushing. "I'll be right back." She said as she teleported.

"She gives the same vibes as Lightning, so she's kind of scary." Inyu said.

"Hanging around Lightning, you know who to be afraid of and who not to be afraid of. She doesn't scare me." I replied. I got off of Inyu's back. Inyu looked at me and smiled. I looked away and looked to the ocean.

"You're just as bad as Lightning aren't you?" Inyu sat down on a rock. I decided to sit next to him.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked defensively.

"You don't let people in."

"I have Lightning, I don't need anyone else."

"Not to burst your bubble but he hasn't been treating you how you should be treated." He said looking into me.

"Oh? How should I be treated?"

"You're strong, so your opinion should matter, you shouldn't be treated like collateral damage during battles, and you should be treated like a queen." Inyu said. "Or at least if I was Lightning I wouldn't try to push you away, I'd keep you close and do right by you.."

I didn't want to get close to Inyu because I didn't want anyone to get in the way of how I feel about Lightning. I sighed, Is this what it was like for Lightning when Tokine broke through his wall.

"I don't think Lightning does it intentionally." I looked away. "He has his issues, we all do."

"No" he moved my head facing him again. "Don't look away."

"You make me feel things I do not wish to feel." I said quietly. Inyu leaned in and kissed me. I didn't push him away.

"I knew that was going to happened eventually." Hanabi sighed walking from behind a tree. I pulled away from Inyu and wiped my lips. I feel terribly guilty right now. "Try to let Lightning know what you did before he finds out by other means."

"He doesn't have to know it happened." Inyu said.

"I'm not your friend, whose to say I won't rat you out?" Hanabi said, Inyu started to sweat and she sighed. "It's none of my business so I won't snitch, but if he ask me about it I will be honest. Hope he doesn't find out."

She extended both her hands. "Grab on to my hand both of you."

I grabbed her hand and Inyu grabbed the other. Next thing I knew we were in a different continent. There was a purple castle up the road.

"I sense Lightning in there." Hanabi said looking at the castle. "So this is what Asuna City has become."

"Asuna City?" I asked

"Yeah, I heard Maru pulled a coup d'état which resulted in him killing everyone who inhabited the city." Hanabi said. "Let's go." She said coldly not looking at me. She respects Lightning highly, I can understand why she's angry with me.

"Maru..." Inyu said. "He's just as bad as Nazo, isn't he?"

"No, Nazo was worse, this is coming from his cousin." Hanabi replied.

"You're related to him?" I asked.

"In a way... He's kinda adopted."

"What do you mean?" Inyu asked.

"He kind of just showed up with the color eyes of our clan and my brother Leon decided to adopt him. Though he kinda did his own thing though."

We walked for a few minutes and we got to the door of the castle. The door opened fast.
