SpacePunk. Seems a rather generic name, doesn't it? What separates a SpacePunk story from a Space Opera, or a Generation Ship, or any other work of sci-fi taking place in the vastness of space? Is it Sword & Planet? Is it something else entirely?
SpacePunk might even be a combination of Sword & Planet and anything "-Punk." A seemingly older civilization with advanced, Space-Age technology. It sounds an awful lot like Star Wars! Or maybe even Halo...?
So maybe there is some crossover going on here... Or maybe we're just making stuff up!
