3. Enrolling Wolf Boy
I woke up, shivering slightly. I looked at the clock. Six o'clock on a Saturday morning. Great. I looked over my shoulder to see that Aaron was indeed curled up on my bed, proving that the events that had happened the day before hadn't been a messed up dream. I sat up slightly and saw that the duvet had fallen off on Aaron's side, meaning that he had probably kicked it off while he slept. I sighed and fell back onto my pillow, not quite sure where to go from here. I had just slept in the same bed as a wolf boy, of which I had found at the end of my garden. Forgive me if I was a little bit confused and feeling like I had gone crazy.
"Aaron." I whispered. Aaron whined, rolled over and fell out of the bed, landing with a rather loud thump. He sat up immediately and growled, at the bed, before starting to claw at it, trying to bite the duvet. "Aaron, no!" I said as loudly as I dared to. I didn't want my parents hearing and coming in to see what was going on. I pushed myself off the bed and tugged the duvet from Aaron's grip. The edge was a little mauled and soggy from his saliva, but besides that, nothing major had occurred.
Aaron then went and curled up alongside the radiator on my wall, snuggling up to the warm metal. I thought he was going to get burned, but then again, he was some wolf-human so I had no clue what he was capable of. I sighed.
"Stay there, okay? I'm just going to go and get you something to eat. Don't leave this room." I instructed. Aaron mumbled a reply from the other side of the room, snuggling closer to the radiator. I rolled my eyes and opened the door, sneaking out as quietly as I could. I shut the door behind me and continued down the landing. My parents weren't up just yet, thank goodness.
I went downstairs, into the kitchen and rummaged around in the fridge and dug out some uncooked bacon, deciding that this would have to do. I put a few slices on a plate, then pulled out the milk and poured a cup. I didn't know if Aaron would drink it, but it was worth a try. Calcium had to be good for wolves, right? I had only given him a cup (definitely not a glass) of water and some left over chicken the night before. It took him a while for him to use a cup, but he had managed with minimal spilling. I hoped he would remember how to hold a cup and try not to lap it up again. That means of drinking had been frankly quite disgusting and rather messy.
I walked back upstairs and into my room. As soon as the door opened, Aaron sat up and sniffed the air. He lifted himself up onto all fours and stalked over towards me, a look of hunger in his eyes. I raised my eyebrows and gave him a stern look, like you did with dogs. He backed off slightly, knowing that I wasn't to be fought with and that I wasn't the food, but he still looked alert and ready.
"Are you going to jump or snatch out, because if you do, I will not feed you." I said, firmly. Aaron looked up at me and seemed to make a throaty, whining sound. He backed away and sat up straight, looking at me with guilty eyes. "Good boy." I added, putting the plate down on the floor. I held onto the milk for afterwards. Aaron, quite literally, wolfed down the bacon, as if he hadn't seen food before or something. After scoffing down all the bacon, he licked his lips and whined slightly. I handed him the cup of milk and he happily gulped it down, giving himself a moustache. I smirked and reached out carefully. I used the end of my t-shirt to wipe away the milk. Aaron flinched at first, but after realising that I wasn't going to hurt him, he started to make a throaty noise that reminded me of a cat's purr. I smiled and removed my hand, but Aaron moved his head forward so it was placed in my hand, nuzzling the side of his face into my palm. He must have, like most dogs, enjoyed being petted, even if he wasn't supposed to. I guessed it was just part of his canine instincts.
