Robin's POV:
"The tower's... a mess. Thanks to Mrs. Steihn and Carrie," I told the rest of the titans as I ended my call with Beastboy.
"How messy is it?" Cyborg asked me.
"Umm... let's just say it's like a broken pencil." I replied, scratching my head.
Just before Cyborg burst, I said, "Since Malkin has about 8 arms and a bunch of other men to help him, he said we can come back with the tower all fixed in a few hours. So, why don't we just spend the time to at least hang out a bit or something. Beastboy told me they're going to a party a few blocks from here."
Cyborg closed his mouth, and nodded. "It'd be nice to party once in a while." And he grinned.
"Then we shall party!" Starfire said, happily and jumped up in the air.
I smiled, as we headed to the party.
20 minutes later, we stopped to where Beastboy said the party was being held.
"Well... this is it." I said.
It said "Shiny Shoe Shoppe" on the sign on top of it.
"A Shoe Store?" Raven said, annoyed.
"I don't know, Beastboy said it was right here-" I was interrupted by someone pulling me in.
"Gah!" I said, as I am pulled into rooms full of mirrors and turns. I got dizzy for a moment then turned myself around, there was a giant green tiger pulling me in with its teeth.
"Beastboy!?!?" I shouted at it - uh, I mean him. He just glared back at me and continued, as he ran straight towards a wall.
"Beastboy!!!!" I shouted, panicking and trying to get his teeth away from my cape as he rolled his eyes while he ran towards a wall that had a poster of a teenager smiling and doing the peace sign, with a "The Party Goddess" plate underneath it.
I expected to crash and start to dream or something, but instead, I find myself confused and standing inside a giant room full of people talking and chatting while eating and enjoying music from a DJ.
Then, I noticed that Beastboy was gone. "Hey, Robin." I heard someone say from behind me. I turned around, and saw the girl I saw on the poster earlier. "Are you..?"
"I'm Valda Hunder. Party Goddess. You probably saw my poster on your way here." she said, smiling as she lent her hand out to me. I just stared at it and kept my hand at my sides. She raised an eyebrow, "You shake it." she said, as if I didn't already know. "Yeah, I know. I just can't." I told her. I wasn't comfortable to have to touch a girl's hand. "O-kay." she said, and dropped her hand. "Enjoy the party then- Robin." she said, winking before she left with a wave. "Robin, who was that" I heard the familiar voice of Starfire. "Oh, that was no one St- wait, how'd you get here?"
"I got them here, Robin!" Beastboy said, rather proudly. I turned around, and stared at the still proud Beastboy. Then, I looked down at my cape- it was ripped and obviously looked like it had been bitten off. "BEASTBOOYY!!!" his proud face turned into a guilty, ashamed look. "What was I supposed to do, then?" he told me. "Oh, I don't know- walk out of the store, tell us the party's here, and led us inside." I explained.
"Well, i'm sorry but it was fun to pull you around the halls." he said, laughing in the process. I was just about to burst at him, but Starfire laid her hand on my shoulder. I turned around, and she just smiled.
Starfire's POV:
As Beastboy and Robin fought in front of me, I could not help but lay my hand on Robin's shoulder. He took a while to face me, but it was good since I had time to think of what certain set of words I should say to him. But Robin had already turned his back. So, I could not do anything but smile at him instead. I still cannot stop thinking of Carrie had said to me. I also could not focus when we were fighting a big, slimy, green monster. I would have been digested in an alien stomach if Robin had not saved me. I must confront Carrie and tell her about my difficulty to give Robin to her. I left Robin in his place, and I began to seek Carrie. I spotted her at the table full of delicious-looking treats. I marched over, and sniffed the aroma of what people have called: "chocolate". I resisted the urge to grab some, but I could not hesitate. I took some of the "chocolate" and stuffed them in my mouth. "Star?"
I turned around, and saw Carrie staring at the mess I had made on my face. "Are you... eating chocolate? You can get really hyperactive if you eat too much, you know." she said. "But it tastes a delight!" she just stared at me, and raised her right eyebrow as she slightly tilted her head. "I-I am sorry. I could not help myself." I apologized. "Carrie, I have come here to say something." I told her. "Uh-huh... what is it?" she asked, as she poured punch into a cup. "I can no longer handle your liking for Robin. It is too difficult for me to handle." I said, my head high. Carrie's lips formed a devilish smile and shrugged. "If you can't handle it," she smirked. "Then i'll have to force you to." her eyes turned green and that was the last I had seen before I could not see a thing but the dark.
Carrie's POV:
Sure, I felt a hint of guilt. But it was way deep inside. I don't think I can have Robin for myself if someone else stood in my way. Even if it includes having to use my powers in an evil way- and practically taking over Starfire. When I had control of Star, I made my eyes turn back to its hazel color and acted as if I was just talking with her. And trust me, it's never too hard to control someone's mind. It was so sudden though. But I didn't care. She knew about my story. She should've thought it through before she said she couldn't handle it. "Starfire. Go over to Robin and say,'Robin, i'm sorry. But you deserve someone better like Carrie. You should probably date her. So, don't bother to ask me out." I commanded her through my mind, smirking in the process.
She did what she was told, but Robin just walked out to... uh, somewhere. Okay, that's it. She's gonna get it. I pinned her to the ground even though I knew she was still under my control. It didn't seem like anybody noticed though- there had been a lot of fights going around the room, so they probably just ignored us. I looked at her face- she barely even looked conscious. I just cried at the spot. "I-I'm so sorry, Star! I'm so sorry!" then I ran out to the wall where we went through and exited the party, as I broke my control of her. I left her unconscious. On the cold, marble floor.
Robin's POV:
Why would Starfire say that? I wandered off to a corner wherein I could barely be seen, and leaned back on the wall. I had to get out of there. I just couldn't believe she would tell me to date Carrie. I barely even knew her. Then, I saw it. Carrie tackled Starfire to the ground, and Starfire just laid there- doing nothing. Carrie started to cry then run away to the exit. People barely noticed since there were other fights around the party and they probably didn't want to get involved. Then, it hit me. Carrie controlled her mind. I'm so stupid! I rushed to Star who still laid unconscious on the floor. I held her and she felt so... she felt so cold. I carried her bride-style to an empty couch- since everybody else were too busy on the dance floor. I just sat beside her and stared at her pale face. Then, my eyes wandered off to her lips. Her lips still looked as plump as ever, but I couldn't say the same about the rest of her face. And then, I couldn't help it. I leaned in, and kissed her.
Starfire's POV:
I woke up to warmth of somebody's face with contact to mine. And I realized it was Robin.
