YOONGI's POV
I tried to keep my eyes off of her, but I genuinely couldn't. It was like there was a spirit of some sort literally just holding my head in place and forcing me to stare at her sheer beauty, giving me barely a second to glance at the road, before my eyes were ripped away again to be on her physique.
Imaginative, I know.
She brought out this side of me.
Why had it taken so long to grasp onto her?Tonight she looked gorgeous in that dress - the colour only further outlined her smooth curves that my fingers always seemed to feel like tracing. Her smile shone gentle but bright in the moonlight that shone through her side of the window as we travelled down the long highway.
We'd probably been travelling for about twenty minutes by now, and I could tell she was getting a little restless by the way she was fiddling with her seatbelt and mumbling, awed, at the scenery outside.
I cleared my throat, startling her a bit.
"Baby?" I glanced at her again. She turned, more accessible, and smiled expectantly, tilting her head a little to the side. This act, alone, made my heart erupt with butterflies causing me to curse under my breath.
Surely this adorable creature wasn't who had painfully teased me a couple of times already with that body.
I glanced further down and let a smirk slip onto my face.
Surely was.
"Yes? Yoongi?" she snapped her fingers in front of me, startling me now. I shook my head clear of those thoughts and tried to recourse where my mind was taking me.
Damn, she was that addictive.
Taking my right hand off of the sleek steering wheel, I let it lightly fall onto her smooth thigh, and gripped it gently. I felt the air go slightly stiff around me. If I wasn't so used to Jae Soo's sometimes quiet nature, I would've missed her very soft but sharp intake of breath.
"You know you're beautiful, right?" my lips unconsciously pulled upwards when she rolled her dark eyes and scoffed, biting her bottom lip.
She repositioned herself and pushed herself more upright. By moving into this position, the split of her dark dress rose up her left thigh further, revealing more of her milky, silk-like skin.
"I know, babe," she slightly scolded, "you've only told me so many times already." Despite her tone and drawn eyebrows, I watched an easy smile ease its way onto her face using her features.
I let out a low chuckle at this, then taking my hand off of her to take a sharp turn to the left. I just barely caught the little exhale of breath from Jae Soo, maybe somewhat of relief that skin was no longer touching.
This time I really couldn't help the grin that slowly formed on my lips.
"Okay," I mumbled lightly, pulling into a small parking lot that seemed to be in the middle of nowhere.
"Okay," I heard her echo after me, this one a lot more curious. I can understand why.
We were literally in the middle of nowhere, as far as she knew. Surrounded by tall, aged pine trees and the soothing sounds of little insects was something that she hadn't seen very much. Green tainted everything within our vision as we stepped out of the car. Turning to grab a coat from the backseat, I swiftly pressed the lock button on my keys and walked around to join my girl on the other side.
"Yoongi -"
"I know it doesn't seem like much," I smiled.
"No, I think it's gorgeous," she smiled, her cheeks slightly blazing, "if - if I had just known, though, that we were coming out here, I wouldn't have worn the dress you gave me. Isn't it really expensive? I don't want it to get dirty or anything."
She glanced down at the dress, her expression slightly down now.
"Baby, don't worry about the dress. You look beautiful," I stumbled a little over my words. At this, I watched a small smile creep onto her face. She was the only one allowed to laugh at my expense.
"C'mon," I grabbed her smaller hand in mine and found my typical short pathway to my child hood lake. It had really been a while since I had been here, but earlier I'd come to place lantern lights and a few other things for our small picnic in the woods.
Sticks and dead leaves crunched under her heels and my black boots as we walked over.
"What -" I heard Jae Soo gasp from behind me.
It all worked out perfectly.
I mentally applauded myself. Multiple lantern lights floated on the beautiful, calm water of the lake. It seemed like it had been plucked from one of those fantasy movies. They shone bright under the dim moon light, and contrasted greatly against the water and the trees further down the lake.
"This is gorgeous," I heard Jae Soo mutter under her breath. She really was. There was nothing I wouldn't do for this girl.
The picnic was set out in front of us, almost exactly how I wanted it, with a stereo in the background playing soft music from its speakers.
"You don't know how grateful I am for you," my girlfriend turned to me after a few more seconds, a small, private smile on her face as her glazed eyes glanced into my own. I glanced down at the way our hands were intertwined, the way she was slightly leaning into me for warmth and chuckled.
"How did I ever get you?" I whispered.
