Ch. 2 - Jealousy

Eh, My Cutie Pie can wait. I don't care I left on a bit of a cliffhanger. I'm updating this book right now! >:3

Nightmare POV:

It's been about a month since Cross and I have gotten together, and he's still as adorable as he always had been. I've been happier lately so I've been in my real form nowadays, which is still taller than cross.

(I made his real form taller than Cross in this book. Deal with it.)

"Senpai!" I heard a familiar voice come closer to me before I was hugged tightly by Cross. I moved him from side-hugging me to hugging me from the front and I hen hugged him back. "Yes, Crossy?" I replied as he began to cuddle into my chest.

"This is for you, it came in the mail today." He said, looking up at me adorably before handing me a letter with a yellow star sticker keeping it together.

I rolled my eyes. Only Dream would do that. I opened it and read out loud in an imitation of Dream's slightly high-pitched voice which made Cross giggle a bit.

"Dear Nightmare and whoever his new queen is..."

I paused. "You haven't told anyone it's me?" Cross asked with another giggle. "Not yet, I wanna keep it private for a bit but I guess we'll have to say it soon." I said before continuing.

"I will be visiting you both tomorrow. I would love to see you two!

Sincerely, Dream."

I finished and folded it again. I assume some of the maids heard me and they started rushing about, getting a room ready for Dream.

I placed the letter on a nearby table and then picked up Cross bridal style. "Hey! What are you doing?" He asked, laughing slightly and playfully clinging onto me as if I was about to drop him.

I kissed his forehead and he snuggled into my chest comfortably. I carried him to our shared bedroom and sat on the bed with him. He looked confused so I said something. "It's 3AM, Cross." He started giggling. "Oopsie!" He giggled.

He then got out of my lap when I released him and he got his pajamas and mine then he threw them at me. I laughed and he walked into the bathroom to change.

Cross POV

I yawned and woke up. I tried getting up but I was held back by Nightmare cuddling me. "Senpai... let go of me..." I whined slightly. "... no." He mumbled. I sighed. "Dream's coming over today." I said with a smile. He let go of me and rolled off the bed as he shot upright. "I'm up!" He shouted.

I heard the door open and Nightmare went over to it. I didn't follow because I was told not to ahead of time by Nightmare.

Nightmare POV:

I saw Dream at the door, not as short as the last time I saw him. "Dream! How've you and Ink been?" I asked him. "I've been fine but if you meant our relationship... she kinda broke up with me because she thought I was tricking her with my aura." He told me. "Who's she with now?" I asked. "She's with Error." He spat.

(Yes, Ink is a girl in this book. Deal with that BOIZ.)

I was half-glad because I talked to Ink once and she told me that the closer he was, the more she loved him. She didn't love him over the phone, only in person, so Dream was tricking her with his aura.

"I think it was for the best." I said. He growled. "Whatever. Anyways, who's your new queen? Avery? Kira? Melissa?" He questioned. "You'll see in a second... Babe! Can you come here?" I called to him. Cross ran quickly over to me and hugged me.

The look on Dream's face was priceless. Cross didn't say a word to him, only hugging me. "You can't even handle me being gone for a few minutes, can you?" I asked with a chuckle. He shook his head violently.

Dream cleared his throat. "Hey, Cross? Can you show me where the kitchen is?" He asked Cross. Cross nodded as showed him there. I smiled and went into the library to read.

Cross POV:

I led Dream to the kitchen but something felt off about his attitude. He kept trying to hold me hand. It was weird.

We finally got to the kitchen and I tried to leave but I was pinned onto the counter top by Dream. "Don't worry, sweetheart." He seductively told me.

His aura started affecting me weakly. I shook my head and thought of Nightmare. "SENPAI!" I called out to Nightmare.

I heard a crash from another room and panicked footsteps coming our way. Dream let go of me and stood back. I fell to the floor, panting. I felt arms wrap around me. I looked up to see Nightmare.

"Are you okay!? What happened!?" He asked. "I'm fine... and I just got dizzy then I fell to the floor." I said. I had to lie. I didn't want them to hate each other over me.

Nightmare nodded and hovered the last brownie bite we had and put it to my mouth. I opened my mouth and he popped the brownie bite in. I giggled and nuzzled him. I saw a scowl on Dream's face.

Dream POV:

My brother gets it all, doesn't he? He's a king, I'm just a guardian. He gets a sweetheart that'll do anything for him, I get broken up with.

Life isn't fair, is it? I'll just put up a nice act for now... but I need to do something first.

I raised a hand and selected Cross to use the magic I was controlling on him. I made circles with my hand and put my hand down. Cross's eyes flashed yellow for a second. Perfect.

He thinks he actually just got dizzy now.

Cross, you will be mine someday.

I'm sorry I made Dream seem like Cray in My Cutie Pie. I just wanted to make him the villain.
