Venice, my love,
I haven't forgotten you. You live in my soul like a raging wildfire that consumes all. When I am trampled by the foreign tongue, the American tongue, you return the breath to my lungs and the rhythm to my heart. I see you in my dreams -- your faded colors, your shining waters, the texture of the ground under my feet, the way in which you live and breathe and love.
I was naive when you first held me in your arms. I was born from you, and you watched me grow, you fed me, you kept me safe. And then I abandoned you and fell into the arms of the West. One of my greatest regrets is leaving you. I am seventy-two now, and I've come back to you.
Venice, when will you take off your clothes? It has been a long time since I have seen you nude. Ginsberg, an American writer, said the same thing about America, but I have seen America bare, and she is blue with bruises. You are the only one that I want.

Ayye so i'm very excited about this book because I went to Venice for a week with my school and I fell in love. I made so many friends from lots of nationalities, got to speak Italian with people who actually understand what I'm saying, saw amazing things, and in general had a great experience with the city
The cover is comprised of photos that my friend took while we were there!!
Also, if you want an italian version I can do that too
Thanks for reading
