Waking up with a jolt, panting and wanting to just crawl down a hole and die. That dream really sent shivers down my spine. I rubbed my head and sighed, I had to remind myself it was just a dream and nothing more.
'get it together!' I gripped my hair tightly, sending electric waves through my whole body. I grunted, letting my hair go and just sitting up from my bed. 'it was just a silly dream, nothing more.' I looked around and saw my door open, and I grew confused. I knew I closed that.
I stood up from bed, my head tilting to peak from the open gap on my door, I could smell metal, it smelled so sweet and metallic. What was happening? I opened the door more so I could go out, the smell growing each step I took down the stairs. I shut my eyes shut, wishing what ever theory I had would be wrong and everything was alright. I took a left towards the kitchen, and the sight I had never wanted to see was the sight I came to be presented with. Blood smeared all over the tiled floor, the pool being bathed by my Mom, Dad and Brian. A bunch of stab marks were made and in the middle of all the red and dead, was me.
"W-Who are you?!" I yelled, yet tears didn't come. "What have you done?!" I yelled more, glaring at the person who looked so much like me.
"Who am I? I am you." the person stated, their smirk never leaving their face. "And what do you mean I did? This is all your doing!" The person laughed, the laughter echoing around us until the whole place was engulfed in all darkness... I was all alone...

I yelled, jumping out from my bed. A dream? Inside a dream? I was confused and scared, not for me but for my family. I gripped my head and began heading out of my room, creaking floorboards lingered around the hall as I walked. Still holding my head, I didn't see who I was going to bump with until it happened.
Looking up, I saw Brian rubbing his head and grunting loudly. "Sorry." I whispered to him, He looked startled like he had seen a ghost before he finally adjusted to seeing me. He sighs, his hair covering his eyes as he bowed his head. "Your awake too?" he finally asked after a few breaths.
"Yeah, I couldn't sleep after that dream. How about you?" I asked.
"I got hungry." He admitted, looking away. His expression alone would have sent me off laughing but he admitted something for once and that made me laugh. He looked up suddenly, his face unreadable but he laughed along anyway ...
We were happy, we were free...
But was this all... Meant to be?∆∆∆
I opened my eyes, my phone vibrated beside me along with a loud beep, the light from my phone fading when I didn't touch my phone. I sighed, my eyes closing again but I quickly opened them again when another vibrate came and a loud beep. I grunted before finally deciding to grab my phone and opening the messages app. Seeing an unknown number get highlighted on my messages wasn't common for me so I grew confused so I opened it. It was just... Numbers..

|666I was confused, really confused. I closed the app and just ignored those numbers. Who knows? Someone could be playing a prank with me and everything will be okay in the end. I sighed, I wasted effort on opening that message and all I see are a bunch of numbers?! How pathetic.
"Vanessa!! dinner is ready!" I sat up immediately after hearing that, boy was I hungry! I got up and ran to the door opening it, the smell of lasagna and mashed potatoes entered my nostrils. "Delicious~" I whispered.
I walked down the stairs, my feet trembling with every step I took and I don't know why. I kept walking though, not minding the pain I was receiving. My mind drifting away from the pain and just thought about different things, but the first thing to cross my mind was Aimee.
I snapped my eyes open quickly, my heart beating. Why was I always thinking about her? Like what was this connection, I just wanted to get rid of these emotions. As I entered the dining room, I quietly sat down.
"Could you help Brian fix the table honey?" I nodded at my mom, my emotion never changing. I was still looking emotional on the outside. Then suddenly my phone beeped twice, so before I grabbed a plate I checked my phone.
It was the same unknown number.

I placed my phone inside my pocket once more, my face knotting into different expressions... I was confused, really confused and curious. Who were sending me these? What do they want from me? Is this a prank?
After setting the table, I sat down again. But when I did, I recieved a shit ton more messages... I was scared, but I didn't show it. My mind thinking of so much possibilities, but I opened my phone either way.
There was a total of 5 messages.

"Are you okay?"
Always the same question.
"I'm fine."
Always the same lie.I placed my phone down and just looked at my empty plate, the void opening up again and sucking all the emotions I had left.
"Can we eat now?" I asked, my voice monotone and hoarse.
"Sure dear," my mother had said, handing me the serving plate full of lasagna.

I lay down on my bed, the glow in the dark stickers just dimly shining down on me. I sighed, my mind drifting off to those numbers and to that specific person. "who are you?" I breathed out, my eyes shutting close.
"999" "666" "88" "777" "33" "66" "33" "99" "8"
What did those number mean?! I mentally slapped myself, my grunts becoming louder and louder, until I finally stopped all the sound coming out from me.
My eyes open, teary and wide, I realized. Someone was after me.
I sat up and wiped my tears with my sleeves, my denim jacket stained with the tear mark. I looked around before I saw my phone again, called someone I didn't know I would call ever again.
The ringing stopped and the person answered, my mouth parted to say only four words.
"I need your help."
"what do you need?" they had asked, the tone of their voice soft and dangerous.
"meet me at the park tomorrow, 5pm sharp." leaving her question unanswered, I gave her specific directions as to how I was going to put everything. "you have your request accepted, we will be there tomorrow... Mistress."
I ended the call, my breathing hitched. I felt watched, I felt insane. And most importantly, I felt Dead, Hollow and Emotionless...
