Walking down the hall, I try my best not to throw up at the gross couple making out. Honestly? They really don’t have to do that every single time I’m out here. If they keep doing this, my lunch is going to be mopped up by the janitor. Thankfully, my thoughts were stopped when Johnson pats my back. “Gilinsky!” He says. “How was your winter break? Did you see Lacey? She’s looking fine!” I roll my eyes in annoyance.

“She’s looking alright,” I say, not really looking at her. She was pretty and all but not my type. Personally, I have my eyes on someone else.

“Dude!” He groans, punching my shoulder. “Are you still hung up on (Y/N)?” He asks. “It’s been since seventh grade! We’re juniors!” He shakes his head.

“I know! I know! I say. “I have to get over her”.

“Get over her?” Johnson asks, laughing. “Dude, you’ve never even asked her out”. It’s true. But I’ve tried asking her before. It just always ended up with me chickening out. “Tell you what”, he says when we get to my locker. “If you won’t ask her out, I’ll ask her out for you!”

“Jack you wouldn’t!” I say, my fists tightening.

“Or would I?” He smirks and walks over to (Y/N)’s locker. I open my locker door quickly, putting my head inside.

***(Y/N) POV***

English starts in five minutes. That gives me two minutes to get my stuff and three minutes to steal peaks at Gilinsky. What can I say? I’ve liked him since like seventh grade. Unfortunately, my views being blocked by Johnson coming towards me. Wait. Why would he be coming over here?

"Hey, (Y/N)!" he says. So he was talking to me.

"Hi, Johnson", I say and furrow my brows in confusion. "Can I help you with something?" I ask. He smirks.

"Yeah", he says. "So you know my buddy Gilinsky right?" I nod, telling him to continue. "Well how would you feel if I told you that he has a little crush on you. And when I say little, I mean as small as an elephant". My eyes go wide. This has to be a joke. No way is this happening.

"You’re kidding me right?" I ask, to be sure.

"No!" he says and shakes his head. "I’m serious! He really likes you!" Wow this actually happening. Be cool, (Y/N). Be cool.

"Well", I say and he smiles. "If he likes me so much like I do, then he should come over here".

"You like him?" he asks, excited. I nod. "Yes!" he turns and goes over to Jacks locker. What did I get myself into???

***JACKS POV***

He’s coming back. Oh god. Oh god! What if she doesn’t like me that way? I just ruined everything! “How did it go?” I ask, nervous for the answer to come.

"She wants you to talk to her yourself", he says matter of factually.

"Are you serious?!" I ask him. He nods. "Dude, I can’t do this!"

"Dude!" Jack says, gripping my shoulders. "You’re Jack Gilinsky; the walking babe magnet! Just go up there and talk to her". He’s right. I totally got this.

"Alright! I’m gonna do it. Wish me luck!" Johnson pats my shoulder and I  make my way towards (Y/N).

She sees me coming her way and turns to face her locker. Is she nervous? Why would she be nervous? She’s perfect. “Hey (Y/N)”. I say , putting my hands in my pockets.

She turns around, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear. “Hi Jack”, she blushes. “Johnson said you wanted to talk to me?” I nod and swallow hard.

"Would you- would you um-um…" I trail off, looking her in the eyes. Dammit she’s so perfect. "Dammit!" I say and run my hand through my hair.

"What is it?" she asks, putting her hand on my arm. God, her hands are soft. Am I sweating? Does she know what she does to me?

"It’s just that you’re so perfect and I really like you and wouldgoonadatewithme?" I say with an expirated breath. She blushes and smiles.

"That’s all you had to say Jack", she says. "I’d love to go out with you. Is seven tonight good?" she asks.

I nod. “Yeah. Seven is great!” Yes!!!!!! The bell rings, and (Y/N) closes her locker.

"See you after class ok?" she kisses my cheek. Do guys blush? Cause I’m a major shade of tomato right now.

"Yeah see ya!" she walks to class. I have to tell Johnson this!
