They moved Wally and Artemis to the med bay permanently. It'd been a week. And their condition only worsened.

Wally was overheating almost every second of the day. He was almost always sweating, and they feared he was near a heat stroke. Suffering from heat exhaustion, he was exhausted, and stayed in bed most of the day, torturous for a speedster. But he couldn't find the energy to move. He mainly stayed in bed, trying to drink almost all the water in the cave. Robin kept him company, playing chess with him and catching him up on what happened at his school, even though Robin didn't go there.

Artemis was honestly worse then Wally. With his speed healing, it was helping him fight off whatever sickness they had caught. He was losing the fight, but at least he had a fight to put up. Through the course of the week, she'd tried to rehabilitate herself. As much as she hated her father, he taught her to be strong. Black Canary wouldn't even think twice about letting her train, it was an obvious no. So she resorted in swimming. Kaldur accompanied her, and its not like she'd swim laps. She kind of just floated in the team's pool. Occasionally swimming back and forth. She welcomed the heat, but the water also cooled her. It was perfect.

As much as the two seemed to be recovering. They weren't. Sure, slowing down the process, but the sickness seemed to get worse. Both could barely sleep at night, and they seemed to be slowly drained of energy. Wally hadn't used his powers in days. And Artemis was slowly succumbing to a cold that Black Canary knew was much worse.

They knew it wasn't just a fever, it was something else, they just couldn't think of what. And if they didn't, these two would soon go into a fatal condition. They couldn't risk it.

Batman and Flash were working round the clock, trying to find out what the hell was wrong with them. Nothing was working. Nothing they'd found recognized what the DNA samples were providing.

"Hey Wally." Megan said, entering the room with a jug of lemonade.

"Hi Megan." He said lazily, continuing the puzzle he was doing.

"Why don't you go join Artemis in the pool, it will help cool you down." She said cheerily.

"No..." He hacked up a storm. "Thanks...."

"C'mon Baywatch. It helps." Artemis strolled in.

Wally's eyes brightened at the sight of her. They hadn't seen each other for a while. Being called for different tests, sleeping, and doing whatever rehab they thought would help.

"Hey Arty." He said.

You could see the bags under her eyes from the lack of sleep.  She wore a baggy t-shirt that pretty much covered almost all of her shorts. Her hair was up in a messy bun, and she walked over to Wally and sat down with him.

She yawned as he pulled her closer. "Haven't gotten much sleep either, have you?"

"Nope." She groaned.

"You wanna take a walk?" He asked.

"Sure." They stood and left Megan to just roam the hallways and talk.

It felt good to move his legs, but Wally could feel the exhaustion creeping up on him. Trying to sink him under. He could see it in Artemis too. But they needed to move, they're muscles needed to be stretched.

Only a short walk, he told himself. They rounded the hallway when Artemis fell to her knees. "Artemis?" He asked.

"M'fine. Just really tired." Her legs felt like jello we. She somehow felt the energy to stand up, but not much to move.

Wally yawned and helped her up. "Let's head back." He said.

They nodded, and continued to walk back in the direction they came. Halfway through, Wally became queezy. Soon, he was speeding off to the bathroom, the first time he'd used his powers in days.

He puked out his guts into the toilet bowl. The rush of speed had only made it worse, and he was now having the worst stomach ache in the world.

Artemis came in, and began to rub cocked into his back. It helped calm him down, and lose a bit of the anxiety you get when you know it's coming, and you hope it doesn't, but you know your going to be hurling in a few seconds.

He soon hurled once again, and shakily stood up to wipe his face off. His fingers gripped the sink, and his arms shook with uneasyness.

Artemis stood up weakly, regaining her balance, and soon leaned against the sink too. She gripped her forehead, and closed her eyes.

"You...alright..." Wally managed out.

"My head hurts...but I'll be fine...we need to get back, your not in good shape..."

"Neither are you princess..." They stumbled back to the med bay, using themselves as a support.

When they made it back, Wally sped off to the nearest bathroom and back. "Wally...you need to lie do—" Artemis collapsed.

"Artemis!" He yelled.

Black Canary and Robin cake running into the room. "Oh Lord..."

"Artemis...She..She..." Wally puked into the nearest bucket and groaned. "Ah...that one hurt..."

"Wally, she'll be fine, get onto the bed."

He listened surprisingly. The pain was starting to take over him, and he clutched his stomach. "C'mon Walls, you got this, easy there..." Robin helped him lie down.

Next he went and helped Artemis up with Black Canary. She was now awake after her temporary black out. Dizzy as ever, but awake.

"C'mon Arty, you need the bed too."

The look in her eyes told him she probably wasn't even listening, too dazed to know what was going on.

He helped her rest on the bed, and slowly eased her head onto the pillow. "There you go."

"Canary, whats wrong—"

"That's exactly what we just found out, what happened here?" Flash strolled in.

"We don't know. Artemis collapsed, Wally's puking." He said.

"Wally, I'm going to give you a serum, it's going to help you fall asleep, ok?" Black Canary Said.

"M'kay..." He said, groaning painfully  at his upset stomach.

She injected the serum into him, and he was asleep soon. Then she swiftly strolled over to Artemis, doing the same, and stroking down her hair.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"They were in a chemical waste warehouse when this happened, at first we didn't know what the particles were, but then we noticed they matched the same ones the warehouse had." Flash explained.

"Which means?"

"While they caught the common cold and fever, they also breathed in the waste from the warehouse."

"Again, which means?" Black Canary asked, frustrated.

Robins face was a pale white. He opened a document on his hologram watch on the chemicals that were in the warehouse. "Which means, the chemicals combined. They've created a who new cold."

Black Canary looked at him with worried eyes. Robin looked up from his watch.

"A super sickness."
