CHAPTER THREE
THE HERO & FAULTY CABLES

Aarav and Diya waited for the director to call action, both of them nervous, but neither of them would confess it. Aarav was worried about the stunt he'd be performing, and Diya was praying that it would go right. And after hearing his words, "If anything goes wrong, the medics will jump onto the set straight away," She just hoped that everything would go smoothly. The fact that they had to postpone shooting a whole hour due to the rain earlier in the morning wasn't helpful either. Diya had always been superstitious about the rain, due to her own past experiences.

In this particular scene, Aarav's character, Rohan, would be found standing in front of Diya's character, Jasmine's, balcony. A while into their conversation, Jasmine's bedroom is filled with the sounds of gunshots. Rohan then, out of instinct and love for Jasmine, jumps up and attempts to climb the balcony and save her. The scene is to end with Jasmine pushing Rohan away for his own safety, who falls and suffers minor injuries, as the balcony wasn't at a height to cause major harm.

Diya stood at the edge of what was supposed to be the balcony to her bedroom. Her hands wrapped around the railing as she leaned forward, meeting eyes with Aarav who stood on the cemented ground beneath. "Rohan? Pagal ho kya? If papa sees you then—then he will kill you!" Diya muses the lines of her script, keeping a frightened expression on her face. But that was proving to be difficult, since Aarav was dressed in the most adorable attire he could have possibly worn. Screw his costume designers! Diya's conscious groaned.

("Pagal ho kya?" translates as "Have you gone crazy?")

"Haan, I've gone crazy for you, Jas." Aarav says, his eyes looking deeply into Diya's. Despite how far away he was standing, his gaze still managed to have such a strong effect on Diya.

("Haan" translates as "Yes.")

"This is not the right time for your jokes, Ro! Please, chale jao!" Diya says with tears forming in her eyes, just as the script had demanded. Aarav watched her in amazement, finding it hard to believe that this girl was just nineteen years old. She seemed as if she had great experience in the film industry for someone who was making their debut, and Aarav would surely praise her for it later on.

("Chale jao" translates as "Leave.")

"No, Jasmine." Aarav said shaking his head, that ever so dangerous crooked smile against his lips, as he stepped closer towards the balcony. Damn, that smile should be illegal! Diya's conscious remarks before she mentally curses herself for losing focus, praying that it didn't show on camera that she had come out of character. "I'm taking you with me, chaahe jo ho jaaye." His voice firm and expression tense.
