I arrived at the five strangers feet. The oldest one, a girl of about 23, stared me down. "Who are you." She said in a thick Russian accent. It was more of a statement than a question, and I wondered wether to answer or not. "I...I'm Cami" I replied, not meaning to stutter. "And who are you?" I asked, sticking up my chin. Don't trust anyone. Never trust anyone.
"I," She paused to give the sniggering boys a look. "Am Alina. And by who are you, I meant are you with them?" Alina looked at me down her nose, she had a high-and-mighty air to her, I could tell she thought very highly of herself. I decided I did not like her.
"She means are you familiar with Mr Bergson?" One of the boys asked, before adding "I'm joe, and this is my brother josh, this is my sister ally, and this is Delia."
"Joe! You can't just tell a random stranger exactly who you are!" Yelled Ally, the 15 year old girl, she pointed a stick at me in accusation. "Hey calm the fuck down, it's me!" Stupid. They didn't know me. They looked at me in confusion. "Let me correct myself. I'm Cami, I'm seventeen, and I've got no fucking clue what's going on."
"Fantastic. Look, bitch, I don't know who the fuck you think you are, but your lives are in danger, so shut up and listen to what we have to say."
Alina stepped forward and jabbed her gun into my chest. I glared at her.
"Well if you have so much to say why don't you TELL me." I pushed the gun away. And looked her in the eye. I win.
"The people who attacked your town are employees of Mr Bergson, a megalomaniac who is slowly taking over everything, by attacking various cities, murdering the adults and enslaving the children into working for him." Alina announced, sounding angry but as if she had said this a lot of times. Nevertheless, this earned a laugh from Taylor. Not a laugh out of humour, but one of a person who had just experienced trauma and then told an unbelievable story. Haha. "Are you fucking KIDDING ME? Are you serious?" She turned around and then looked Alina right in the eye. "Are you for real? Are you?" Unfazed, Alina stared her down. "Yes."
"And you can help us?" I piped up
"Yes."Tugging me down the corridor, I recognised the door Kelly was pushed into. As I was dragged by, I peeked in the small window. I didn't see her, but I feared the worst. As I was shoved into an empty room, my heart began to pound out of my chest. In the room were two people: a man and a woman, both in doctors coats guarded a big machine with a hatch. Wordlessly, they both grabbed my arms and began attaching clips and stickers to me. "What are you going to do to me?" I asked through tears.
"Your memories and emotions will be removed, replacing them with the desire to fill orders." The woman replied, in a robotic voice, eyes lacking emotion. "No! Please don't do that!" I yelled, but no mercy was shown. As I was pushed into the hatch, the machine began to beep. A hole in the side opened and black smoke began to blow in my face. As I began to black out, I heard the man say "something's wrong!"
What is wrong...
