So my friend was thinking about getting a pet rat.
"Ooh we should dress it up in little dresses!" her mom said excitedly. "That way if it gets out, people'll know it's a pet and they won't kill it!"
"I don't like animals to have clothes on them. I don't think they like it," my friend said.
"Well if you want it to be civilized..." her mom argued.
"It's a rat. They aren't supposed to be civilized. Besides, the stray cats wouldn't know the difference. They'll be like, 'That's OK we'll just have to take the casing off of this one.'"
