Soft, glistening sunlight beamed into the room. The large canopy bed in the middle of the room was occupied with a young girl, presumably eleven-years-young, who was sleeping. Her bedroom door clicked open, a stone-cold face revealing itself on the opposing side. "Get up, Rosaphina."
Brilliant hazel eyes snapped open. The child on the bed yawned. "Good morning, Mother."
"You have mail." Rosaphina's mother left seconds later.
"Good to see you, too," Rosaphina grumbled, slipping her robes off and tossing them into a hamper. She stared at it. The envelope was thick and heavy, made of yellowish parchment, and the address was written in emerald-green ink. There was no stamp. On the other face of the envelope was a purple wax seal with several creatures on it; a lion, an eagle, a badger, and a snake around a large letter H. Rosaphina held back a cry of excitement- she was not to yell in her mansion. Instead, she grabbed her pillow and screamed hysterically into it. Moments later, she tied a rolled bound of parchment paper. She had written to her father who worked with the Ministry of Magic about her acceptance letter.
"We shall travel to Diagon Alley tomorrow for your supplies," her mother said when she saw Rosaphina skip down the stairs.
"Yes," muttered Rosaphina, "of course. Will Father be joining us?"
"No."
All the girl could do was force a nod and hope that her father would write her back quickly.

A piece of paper slipped out of Rosaphina's hand. She reached down to pick it off of the ground- as she did, another hand brushed against hers. She quickly recoiled in disgust, her eyes in flames as she stared at the boy holding her supply paper. Sleek white-blond hair, cold grey eyes, a pale complexion and rather sharp, pointed features was the first thing to greet her appearance.
"Hello," Rosaphina murmured.
"Hello," came his bold reply. They gave one another the same look; a cold, unemotional glare. "My name is Draco. Draco Malfoy."
"Pleasure," said Rosaphina, but she sounded nothing but unpleased. They shook hands awkwardly. "Rosaphina Vianelli."
After a moment of him studying her face and likewise with her, they scoffed. "I know you," Draco said first. "Filthy Vianelli family."
Rosaphina jutted her chin out. "Much wealthier than your family."
"That's untrue!"
You're right, Rosaphina thought, too stubborn to say it aloud. "Oh, that's what you think, Malfoy."
They disliked each other already. "I look forward to making your life absolute Hell, Vianelli."
"The feelings are mutual," she replied. "Now give me my parchment."
He held it in the air between to fingers. "This?" When he saw Rosaphina nod, he smirked. "This is mine now. You won't be needing it." With that, he simply ripped it into two pieces and threw it to the ground. "You should go down there, too. That's where you belong, Blood Traitor."
Rosaphina dropped to her knees, scuffling about to quickly collect the pieces. "Bloody hell!"
Draco stared down at her, a smirk tugging at his thin lips. "See you later, Blood Traitor."
Rosaphina connected the paper again, her eyes wide as she stared at the long list of supplies.
