o. PROLOGUE: THE JOURNAL

In which Elizabeth Hastings receives some news and takes a stroll down memory lane to the one summer that changed her life.

 My mother used to say that raindrops were the tears of angels. If they were light, they were tears of joy, and if they were heavy– tears of sadness. 


i. CHAPTER ONE: HAIRCUTS, SECRET KNOCKS AND A DEAD BODY

Summer is almost over and Betty wants nothing more than have one last adventure...good thing her brother and her friends just found one. 

 I can break your nose if I want to.


ii. CHAPTER TWO: THE MISADVENTURE OF THE LONE RANGER AND CISCO-KID

Gordie starts everything off with a bang. The gang heads out of town and Betty almost gets caught in her own lie– resulting in Teddy of all people saving her ass.

Oh nothing, just hoping that you'll spontaneously combust.


iii. CHAPTER THREE: TRAIN DODGE? MORE LIKE TRAIN SQUASH

The group finally makes it to the tracks where they start their journey. A daydream choice leaves Teddy reliving his fathers time in Normandy. 

Come on Teddy! That train isn't being driven by Hitler and this isn't fucking France!


iv. CHAPTER FOUR: BOYS, THEIR HORMONES AND FEMALE CAPABILITIES

It's lunch at the old junkyard where a coin flip has Gordie and Betty getting their friends some food. Most adults are rude and cheap. Betty shows that girls are worth just as much as boys.

Your fence climbing skills may need some work, but damn Betty...you would make one hell of an actress.


v. CHAPTER FIVE: MIGHTY MOUSE AND FATHERLY ADVICE

Coming off of an emotional encounter with Milo, everyone is stuck in their own thoughts. Betty overhears a much needed conversation between Chris and Gordie,
