"What are we going to do now?" Malia asked this as she looked up at the sky. "We? Why are you bringing me into this? I'm just here for my wish." Olly then stepped forward. "Wish? Are you a witch?" He pointed at Malia.
Oh no. Now they are going to attack Malia. I began to worry and tried to calm down. If they find out who I am they might attack me too. "Yes I'm a witch and you just helped a witch. Neither of you can go home now." Both of the boys looked down.
"Why can't they?" I asked Malia as I walked over to her. "Elf's hate witches. They see a witch they are supposed to kill them. They haunt us along with other creatures. If they help a witch they are seen as betraying their own kind." Olly then yelled, "I THOUGHT YOU WERE HUMAN!"
"Well haha jokes on you." Then she pointed to Douglas. "One of his tribe rules is that they can't use their powers for people outside the tribe unless it's for a job, and it wasn't. If they do they will be punished. I bet it's even worse for the son of the tribe leader."
The boys looked defeated. Malia yelled, "WE ARE STUCK TOGETHER!" Douglas looked up as if he had an idea. "Not if we kill you now and leave. All that matters is that you are dead and no one finds out." He comes closer to us. I knew it, they want to kill us.
"If you kill me now both your tribe and the elves will be cursed for all eternity. All hell with break loss. Your people will die of hunger and sickness. Your homes along with others will burn to the ground and your kind forever erased. And both of you will be forced to watch it all until the end."
Douglas stepped back. "Is Ivory a witch too?" Olly asked as he looked at me. "No" that was the first thing I said in a while. For some reason that took a lot of me. "Then what are you?" He added. Oh no, how am I going to answer this? "That's what we are trying to find out."
"Why? Why are you helping her? Is she a friend of yours?" Douglas asked her this as he leaned on a tree. "Yes" for some reason I was relieved to hear her say that.
As we talked we heard screaming and yelling coming from where we came. "We have to move, NOW!" he was about to lead the way when Malia said, "and then what? We can't keep running away." He looked to be getting frustrated, "well we can't get caught either."
They both make a valid point but we are still in danger here. The noise was getting closer. Instead of running straight we went right. We ended up in an abandoned village. This place had no life. The grass was either dead or covered in ashes. There was no type of color. But that may be due to the fact it's getting dark out. Everything was broken.
Some of the homes barely had walls on them. But we found one that had at least two and hid behind it. There were some holes in the wall but not big enough were they can see us. We could see them tho. The elves entered the abandoned village, separated and began searching the place.
"Hold my hand," Malia whispered to me. "Why?" Is she scared? I know I am. "Just do it, quickly." Some of the elves were heading in our direction. I grabbed her hand. "Boys do the same and one of you do it to Ivory."
I felt Malia's hand get hot. "I'm not—-," Douglas began to complain. "Just do it," Malia said this as if she was going to kill them if they don't. They held hands and Douglas held my other one making warm tingles go through my hand and Douglas looked at it as if he felt it too. Malia took a deep breath and a small light quickly went over us. "What did you-," "ahh." I wanted to ask what she did but she stopped me.
Then some of the elves came over to us and looked in our direction. I held my breath not knowing what to do. We just sat there holding hands looking up at him. He looked in our direction for a while then left. How did he not see us? He was looking right at us.
