5.His little weakness

He placed her softly on the  bed of the room he's never been to before . Taking off her slippers. He covered her in a blanket. He looked at the couch, then bed. Well if he was to sleep in the room for six months get used to sleeping with his wife. He got in next to her. Switched off the light and pulled her towards him and slept.

Mr and Mrs knight sat on their beds. Mrs knight began ",I thought they hated each other. Even the maids are afraid to speak Ill of their master and mistress. But what I saw on the table and stairs ,is pure love. Why do they have separate rooms if they love each other ?. But alas,  I am just happy she's having a loving relationship with her husband. I was worried cause I heard many tales of his cold indifference . I noticed it too earlier today. I wonder".she sighed.
Mr knight sighed ",Let's just sleep alright. No need to cry over spilled milk".he said.
Then they slept.

In the morning she opened her eyes and saw the countenance of her cold husband.
Why was he behaving so.
He was kind. Caring. And her his love. Was is it all a hoax for her parents. That alone caused her heart to be pierced. She woke up. Wore her sleepers and left quietly.
She ran down the stairs, the maids all bowing to her but finding it strange that she came from the direction of the master bedroom. She paid them no heed.
She entered her room to find a teary eyed Meredith.
"Mrs Stella, I was worried about you, where have you been?".
"I am sorry..... Meredith. I was forced to sleep with Mr Stella as a married couple by my mother ".she said softly.
Meredith gasped. "Madam, surely you lie. You slept in the same room as Mr Stella?".she couldn't believe her ears.
Mrs Stella shyly walked to vanity.
"I lie not Meredith. Anyways how was your mysterious rendezvous? ".she asked coyly with a smile.
Gone was the cold Mrs Stella.

Meredith registered a deep blush.
"It was alright ma'am ".she said shyly.
"I suppose that's why you came back home after what the wee hours of the morning? ".she asked coyly.
"Madam please do not tell Mr Stella. He did not notice. Yes? ",she hoped.

Mrs Stella blushed .
"He did. He noticed very much so. "said shyly.

Meredith noticed. The cold mistress she's grown accustomed to was gone.

After preparing Mrs Stella she went to the dining room. To find her parents already waiting for her and Mr Stella.

Her parents looked at their daughter and smiled.
"Good morning my dear? ".her father said.
"Father . Mother. Indeed it's a lovely day ".she smiled and sat down.

"Where is your husband dear? ".her mother asked.

"He was asleep when I left for my room. Last I saw him an hour or so ago. But do not wake him ,he may not say it but I am sure he is exhausted ".she said.

They nodded.
Breakfast was served then they heard hard calculated and precise steps. Leaving a ringing in the house. The maids in the dining room quickly prepared his seat and his breakfast things as of scared he'd kill them.

The doors were thrown open and in walked the tall and proud Mr Stella.
He gazed at the table and said with a cold face
“Good morning everyone. Mrs Stella”
He said to his wife.
She nodded with a straight face.
"Good morning Mr Stella. Although I thought you'd be tired and decide to rest till noon?".she asked.

He sat down and a smirked formed on his lips "So that's why you ran away from me this morning? ".he said with a straight face.

She blushed. But said with a straight face .
"No. I had to eat and bath. And as I said you need or at least needed to. "she said looking at him in the eye. Her cheeks red but she had an aura of dominance about her.

"I would've if you'd've stayed with me ."he said with a cold tone and face taking a bite off his toast.

Mrs Stella's cheeks reddened, her parents faces looked shocked at their daughter. She bit her lip to stop from saying something she would regret.
He was taking the acting a tad far. She would have to have a word with him and teach him a thing or two. Her eyes darkened in silent fury.
