CHRIS'S POV:
The lady behind the desk was talking on the phone, so I didn't want to be rude and interrupt her to ask for a wheel chair. It literally has been 20 minutes though. Leah is probably in so much pain right now. I let out a huge sigh to show the lady that I was growing impatient. All she did was look me in the eye and kept talking. I turned around only to find 13 other people waiting behind me. I gave up on getting that wheel chair anytime soon, so I headed back to the car.
Leah was asleep but I had to wake her up.
"Leah, I am just going to carry you in ok?"
She didn't reply. She was to deep in sleep. I picked her up and closed the door. She wasn't that heavy actually. After awhile, we got to the door of the hospital.
"Excuse me! This girl needs medical attention right away. Her knee is broken and the bone is sticking out. Please help!" I yelled at the lady behind the desk.
"Alright. Calm down. Room 461 is available. I will call a doctor up to you soon."
"Thank you"
We went up the elevator and found room 461. Leah suddenly woke up as if she just had a bad dream.
"Finally! What took so long"
"I'll tell you later, I need your dad's or moms' number to call them."
"571-987-5493. That's my mom's"
"Alright"
I called her parents and explained everything.
"They are coming, don't worry"
"Chris?"
"Yeah?"
"Thanks for helping me"
"Of course"
Just when things got a bit better, there was screaming from the room next door. Leah jumped, but I remained calm. Then, a nurse walked in.
"Leah Parks?
"Um yeah"
"So you have a broken knee. I will be applying the cast on you. Do you wish to wait for your parents?"
"Yes please"
"Very well."
"Can I ask you something?"
"Why, of course sweetie. What is it?"
"Who just screamed very loudly next door?"
"Don't worry, we have it covered."
"No, I want to know."
"A young man who just got hit by a car."
"What's his name?"
"Kyle Philips"
