Skye pov:

God, I can never compromise my sleep for anything in this world. First I should learn to wake up early but what to do. The word "early" is nowhere in my dictionary. I'm good at postponing things.

Today Is the first day of the job but I'm getting late. Swiftly I brushed my hair and got dressed.

Giving myself the final glance at the mirror I grabbed my back bag and hurried outside the house.

Thank god I found a taxi.

"Can you please drop me at the Brown enterprise in 10 minutes??"

He gave me a quick glance and said yes.

I knew I was mean. Because the office where I'm going to work is nearly far away, it takes 20+ minutes travel in the traffic or else it will take 10 minutes in normal drive.

I was chewing nails in tension.

"Mam" the cab driver called me out.

"Yes."

We have reached the destined place. He made it polite.

"What?" It was shocking to me.

Anyways I have reached the office earlier than I have imagined. I paid him and walked towards the main building.

I was waiting for the elevator. "Ping" The door opened. I stood dumbstruck.

There was a guy, he had silky jet black hair and few fringes covering his forehead. The high cheekbone and chiselled jaw made me agape and his perfect pinkish full lips. Whoa!! whoa!!

"How can a man have pinkish lips?"

"I wish to-"

"Stop it. My brain mocked."

" Cool." I took several breaths to calm down.

I have weak knees for blue eye guys and he has aquamarine eyes.

"Holy cow." I turned to jelly.

"Are you going stand there and admire me the whole day?"He said with a sly smirk.

"Am I too transparent?" I wet my lips and gave him a stern look and entered the elevator. I was hyperventilating. His presence wasn't helping me. Oh god, what happened to me. Control Skye!! Control!! I said to myself.

He reduced the gap between us.

"What is he up to??"

I thought this was the perfect time to prove him I'm a badass.

"Excuse me!!" I scrunched my nose and wiggled the left brow at him.

Whoa!!! Whoa!! It worked.

"He stood baffled."

"Will you please stand two step aside?"

" Are you tempted?" He asked.

Oh god. He is a Prick.

" I'm in no mood to create a fuss on the very first day and hope you need this job?" I retorted.

"What will you do?"He challenged.

Is he mentally sick? I have to teach him a lesson.

I can do anything. I whispered in his ears.

He flinched at my presence. There I got him. He too felt something on my closeness. Wow.

"Ping." The elevator opened and he rushed out without even looking at my face.

I chuckled. Great start.

I walked towards my respective wing and joined the other colleagues, waiting for me. We had group discussions about the day plan and it went on.

Later, we had self- introductions and I was assigned to design a Maxi. And we were split into groups. Two in a group.

I was searching for my co-partner. There he was the blue eye greek god, my co-partner.

God, by looking at his face I can predict he is hell shocked as mine. I walked towards him.

"Hi, Skye Wood."

"Hello, Daniel."

We shook hands and stood in silence.

I broke the silence. Let us start the work.

He just nodded.

Maybe he isn't comfortable with me.

"Do you want to change the partner?" I asked.

Nah. It's good. He smiled.

"Don't smile." I cursed him in my brain.

He had cute dimples. I suppressed the anxiety dwelling inside me. I'm sure he is the death curse for me.

"How will I work with him?" My inner conscience yelled.

"Are you fine?" He asked.

Yup. One hundred percent, I'm fine. I plastered a tight smile.

"Do u have any idea?" He asked.

"Pardon."

"Regarding designs," he said smirking.

I wished to wipe the smirk on his face.

First, we can make rough sketches later we can decide the final one. I said.

He agreed.

We had a long discussion about the designs and patterns. And finally decided the perfect sample to be designed.

"Whoa!! he is smart than I have thought."

He gave me wide smile.

"Did I sound it loud?"

He bit his cheeks and nodded "Yes."

"Shit." I exited the room before he says something.

Later, we all gathered to have lunch.

Toni is the new buddy I have got here. She is 5 feet, has burgundy hair colour, hazel jet black eyes, olive skin and sweet lips. If I was born as a boy I would sweep off her feet.

And the important matter is, she is completely opposite to me. She is outspoken.

I'm ambivert person. More than words my hands speak. "Punches."

But my attention on Toni got distracted due to bone piercing gaze. Daniel was secretly stealing glances. Once I caught him red-handed but he brushed off like it was unplanned one. God knows what is cooking in his brain.

Toni nudged me using her elbow "I think so there is a separate track, running between you and Daniel"

"No." I defended.

Everyone was watching my face." Did I shout?"

Toni chuckled. "Carry on guys!!"

Daniel stood up from his chair, locking his eyes with mine. I too did not break the eye- lock.

We were so immersed in eye game, I did not hear Toni shouting at my name.

She jerked my shoulders to grab my attention.

"What??" I asked her irritatedly.

Toni gave me an "I have got you look"

I slapped her arms playfully and searched for Daniel. He was gone.
