An hour later, Mei was looking up Samuel Wilkinson in the yearbook. This face was no stranger to her. "Okay wow. I only just saved the most attractive guy on this planets life no big deal." Mei whispered to herself. "and he ran off okay. kms."

The next day was the same.. without the whole saving the most popular kid in school's life thing. And so was the day after that... and the next... and the next.....

Until it was Saturday. 10:30 a.m. No rain. Mei decided to take the chance that she knew she'd never set eyes on again, and go for a walk. She grabbed her shoes, old and dirty, and step foot into the great yonder.

She screamed. Louder than she had ever screamed before, and fell to the ground.

"Mei, what the hell?" Sam ran to her.

"Why did you just come out of our bushes like that oh my god you can't do that.." Mei rambled to herself.

Sam brought her back to her feet, and awkwardly dusted her shoulders off. "You could've fainted or something. See I just saved your life, now we're even eh?"

"Both times, you caused the near death experience." Mei grimaced.

"Well if you were wondering why I'm here it's because I want to talk to you. About things.. a lot of things."

"Listen kid, I pushed you out the street one time. If you think that means we need to be best friends.. or if you think that means I'm going to go around telling people you're stupid then-" Mei was stopped. Sam laid his thin pointer finger across Mei's lips.

"You talk a lot." With no defined facial expression, he invited himself into Mei Lung's house.

"Dude. It smells like cookies in here. Are you coming?" He asked her, as she stood outside dumbfounded on what just happened.
