This is just a short story I wrote for fun.  I hope you guys like it!!!!!!!! ~

Its 10:30 in the morning.  I am at the center of the circle waiting for the whistle.  Out of breathe and breathing heavy, I kick the ball and it flies up the field.  I stand back to wait for my cue.

There are thirty seconds left on the clock for the first quarter. Out of nowhere my team sends me the cue.  I sprint forward, and the ball is passes to me and I kick the ball. The ball flies into the goal.  My team is so happy until they relieve it is only the 1st half.

The coach calls us over and we come up with another plan to win the championship.  We find out our spots for when we head back out onto the field and then I find my way to the bench.  I sit drinking as much water as I can.  The coach calls my name.  Still breathing heavy I jog to the coach, and he tells me to get my head in the game and to make more goals.

Rachael scores a goal and now the score it five to six.  We are in the lead for now.  I run onto the field and Rachael is sent to the bench to get another drink of water.

The grass is thick and moist.  The other team passes the ball back and forth, doing there best to get past our defense.  The coach calls me to run down the field, cut them off, and gets the ball.  I do as I’m told and get the ball and dribble it down the field towards the other team’s goal.  The wind is brushing against me as I run.  I can’t let my team down.  I make it down the field and now the only thing between me and the goal is the last defensive player.      I make it past her and shoot the ball and hit the goal post.  Luckily someone Rachael is back in the game and shoots it again and makes it.

There’s only fifteen minutes left on the clock.  I make my way back to the center circle with Rachael right behind me.  We stand there and catch our breath as well as make sure nobody passes us.  The other team kicks it but my teammate takes it from them and heads down the field. The other team takes the ball and heads straight for our goal.  I run up and steal the ball, but out of nowhere there defense steals it from me and kicks it back to there player.  The ball is taken down the field and the other team scores.  The score is now six to seven.  We have to hold them off for another fifty second.

The crowd is now screaming at the top of there lungs and my team is getting excited.  It’s our kick, so I send the ball up field, but stay back with Rachael to play defense.

The crowds now getting antsy and all we have to do to win is keep the other team from making a goal.  The clock has ten seconds left.

My team makes a line in the center of the field to keep them from scoring and it works.  The buzzer goes off and the fans go crazy.

We just won the championship and my team is so happy.  The coaches congratulate us and we shake hands with the other players.  It was a crazy game but we made it.
