You smell like a summer dream
That keeps me wide awake
While remaining in a deep sleep.
"I will always love you"
You whisper.
I drift off in search of your heart
So that I can rest easy.
416 days and I'm still looking
Except now, I'm very tired.
My brain is mush and my lungs are cold
Because the air feels less like a dream
And more like acid.
I can't breathe anymore.
I'm suffocating.
I choke and cough as I lay in this empty maze.
You watch from above, taking in every cry.
And do nothing.
"Please"
I beg.
You walk away.
And the strings of my heart snapped.
I finally fell asleep.
With blood and tears covering a soul-less body.Goodnight, I love you.
