After the team's game of scrimmage was over, Jungwoo reached over to take his socks off. He cringed at the red lines his shin guards left in his skin, and he reminded himself he had to ask for money to get new ones.

"Doyoung," He called out to the guy digging into the cooler. He took out some water and raised his eyebrow, offering Jungwoo one before he spoke. Jungwoo took it with a quick thanks, and Doyoung sat next to him after he took one for himself. "D'you have a marker?"

"Why? To write on yourself again? You and your soulmate are gonna end up in the hospital from ink poisoning," He scolded, but regardless, he gave the helpless boy the marker.

"What a way to meet each other," Jungwoo remarked, letting the ink glide across his skin. He finished and handed Doyoung the marker back with another thanks before he huffed. He huffed out of the pure frustration of not being able to know who he was going to have to be with for the rest of life. Even though Taeyong assured him it was normal, that little voice in his head told him it wasn't.

"How's Jisung? Heard he got accepted into some dance school?" Doyoung asked and stood up to gather his things once Jungwoo did the same.

"Oh, yeah. He's good, and next year's his first year so he's pretty nervous. Er— next year as in next school year... y'know..."

"Has anyone told you you're really soft-spoken?"

"Yes, literally almost everyone."

"It's cute. Your soulmate's lucky," The older teased, wrapping an arm around his shoulder to ruffle his hair. Jungwoo giggled and wiggled himself out of his hold, "Be quiet," He laughed.

"Whatever. Need me to drive you to that store?" Doyoung asked and when Jungwoo nodded he grinned and handed him a towel. "I don't think they'd want to let you in with a sweaty ass forehead. And shins."

"I just need better shin guards," Jungwoo whined, looking down at his legs as he patted his forehead with the towel. "I gained some weight and now I have to get new shin guards. Again."

Doyoung rolled his eyes and scoffed, rubbing his back in a comforting manner. "It's okay. Besides, if you're worried about it, powerful legs are hot, and you have powerful legs, and a lot of people like powerful legs. I'm sure your soulmate'll be into it." He said, and Jungwoo blushed at the reassurance. "Thanks," He mumbled out, throwing the towel in the bin.

They said their goodbyes and waved to the team as they walked out, relieved to finally be able to leave after the coach gave them a mini speech about their next game. Doyoung blasted the a.c (it was hot, you'd do it too), and let Jungwoo pick out the music while they made the trip to the store. Doyoung felt his own wrist tingle a few times, and he wanted to curse his soulmate out (lovingly, of course) since they did it while he was driving. He was obviously bothered by it, and Jungwoo giggled a bit. "Having some trouble there?"

"Yeah, actually. Could you just wack the pen away from whoever I'm gonna be with?" He asked, and he glanced at his wrist to see what was written. "Oh, great. Just a useless note. 'Ice cream w/ Yukhei tmrw!'"

Jungwoo smiled at the name, and he looked outside. If he was honest, Yukhei was flat out adorable. He was a giant, yeah, but a gentle one he'd say. He'd always get to class early thanks to his long legs, even if he didn't want to, and on days Doyoung was absent he'd talk to him for some provided comfort. He was just cute all around, and he must've been obvious because Doyoung poked his side.

"Stop with the gay thoughts," He teased, and Jungwoo's cheeks flushed a dark red at that. "You have your money, right?" Doyoung asked when he parked outside the mall, taking his seatbelt off. Jungwoo's eyes widened and he dug inside his bag, moving things around in a desperate attempt to find his wallet.

"Fuck!" He whisper-yelled, even though he was only with Doyoung, and he put his bag down. "No, my dumbass forgot it in my locker!"

"It's so cute hearing you curse," Doyoung snickered and opened his door. "I'll pay for it. You'll pay me back by coming to my house for dinner. My mom misses you."

"Fine," Jungwoo sighed, coming out of the car. He even made sure it didn't slam shut. What an angel. "I'll give you the money tomorrow, I pinkie promise."

"Kim Jungwoo, I said—"

"Shush, I'm paying you back tomorrow." He said firmly, and started walking inside the mall. Doyoung giggled and followed behind, glancing at his wrist when he felt it sting again.

'+ jungwoo (if yukhei isn't a punk and actually invites him)??' it said, and Doyoung kept quiet about it.
