Chapter 39: Jennie

Jane's POV

"J-J-Jennie...?"

Jungkook became teary-eyed.

I was just looking at the two of them.

Jungkook stood up and hugged her.

"I missed you..." Jungkook cried.

"I missed you too, Jungkook. Even our parents." She hugged back.

Jungkook lets go of the hug and sniffed.

"How's mom?" Jennie asked.

"She's fine." Jungkook answered.

"And dad?"

I looked at Jungkook, if he talked to his father or not..

"He's okay. I visited him last week. We talked things out and everything's well." Jungkook gave both of us a smile.

"That's good." Jennie smiled back.

Then Jungkook looked at both of us.

"Wait...how did you guys meet?" Jungkook asked us.

"Well..." I started.

*Flashback*

"Wait..."

She looked at me.

My eyes widened.

"Are you...Jungkook's older sister? Jennie?" I asked.

She looked surprised.

"H-How did you know?"

"Jungkook told me."

Jennie just rubbed her arm.

"Can you join me and my friend over there? If it's okay, I want to talk to you."

She was thinking for a moment, then she nodded.

"Alright."

"Thank you. Um...if you'll excuse me, I need to go to the restroom."

Jennie chuckled.

"You're excused."

I smiled at her and went to the restroom.

"I know that you ran away because of your depression. But, is it okay if you'll come back? For Jungkook?"

"I don't know. I mean, I love Jungkook. He's my little brother. But I'm just afraid."

"Of your dad?"

"Afraid if he'll treat me badly again, and if Jungkook and my mom will be mad."

"Your mom and Jungkook will surely not do that. Jungkook needed you. Your mom missed her daughter. And I've seen that your father has changed. He was begging for Jungkook to talk to him, to explain, and how sorry he is for what he had done." I told Jennie.

"It's true." Lily said.

Jennie stayed silent.

"But it's your decision. Whether to see your family again, or stay here and hide."

Jennie finally answered.

"I'll go see my family again." Jennie placed on a confident face.

Lily and I smiled at each other.

"Thank you so much! You have no idea how much this means to Jungkook."

"You know, I can see that you really care for Jungkook. Are you perhaps...his girlfriend?" Jennie smirked.

I blushed.

"Ani!"

"But they like each other." Lily told her.

"You're a really nice girl, Jane.  Thank you for being Jungkook's friend." Jennie laughed.

Then Jennie stood up.

"I have to go now. My friends are waiting for me at the apartment. Annyeong Jane and Lily!" Jennie waved.

"Annyeong! Take care!" We waved back.

*End of flashback*

"And that's how we met." Jennie said.

"Right." Jungkook nodded.

Then he looked at me.

"Noona, I have some news for you."

Jungkook sat next to me on the bench and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

"Jane is now my girlfriend." He said, making me a blushing mess.

"Oh really?" Jennie smirked.

"Yeah..." I answered shyly.

Jennie was squealing.

"I knew you guys will be together someday!" Jennie smiled.

Jungkook and I laughed.

"Noona, will you be sleeping in our house?" Jungkook asked.

"De. I will."

"I'll go with you-"

"No way! Just tell me where it is and I'll go on my own."

"But it's pretty late."

"Don't worry, little bro. I have fighting skills." Jennie ruffled his hair.

"Arraseo. Here's the address." He typed it in her phone.

"Thanks, Jungkook. See you later!" Jennie smiled and left.

Jungkook turned to me. 

"Wanna' go back to Jin's house?" I asked him.

"I texted Jin-hyung earlier that I want to be with you today." Jungkook did a bunny smile.

"That's sweet of you, Kookie. But, shouldn't we be with them?"

"Jin-hyung was really okay with it." Jungkook shrugged.

I smiled.

"Fine."

We left the bench and laid down on the grass and looked at the stars.

"The stars are beautiful." I said, admiring the stars.

"Very beautiful."

I looked at him, seeing that he was referring to me.

We stared at each other for a while.

"Jane?"

"Yeah?"

"I love you."

I widened my eyes and turned my body to the other side.

I can't control the FEELSSS!

"Jane?" I can hear Jungkook laughing a bit.

"Sorry! It's just that, hearing it coming from you is..."

"New?"

I nodded. Even though he can't really see.

He grabbed my arm and turned me around, facing him.

"Just say it when you're comfortable in saying it. I'm fine with it."

I inhaled and exhaled.

"I love you too." I replied.

Jungkook smiled.
