Chapter 1

Annie's POV

Me and Hayden have been friends for a while now and I think I like him. Like his smile and his dimples and his beautiful curly brown hair. He's just so cute! I wish I could tell him but it's hard because of all the rumours and gossip about us in the media. Sometimes I wish I was just a normal girl and didn't have all this pressure on me.

Hayden: 'Hey Annie!'

Annie: 'Oh hey Hayden what are you doing here?'

Hayden: 'Came to ask if you wanted to come to the beach with me and the guys?'

Annie: 'Who's going to be there?'

Hayden: 'Carson, Johnny and Myself.'

Annie: 'Okay Yea maybe you'll see me there but can I bring Riley, Indiana and Dylan?'

Hayden: 'Sure but be there.'

Annie: 'Okay we'll see.'

I don't know if that was flirting or not but whatever. But I don't think Hayden likes me like that I think I'm just a friend in his eyes.

Hayden's POV

I don't know if I like Annie I'm pretty sure I do.
It's hard to tell anymore these days I feel like there is so much pressure on me to date someone that I don't even know what it means to like someone anymore. It's like I'm being told how people want me to live my life and I'm expected to do that which isn't fair.

Carson: 'Hey Hayden over here!'

Just then Carson called me and snapped me out of my thoughts. I walked over to him and Johnny.

Carson: 'Hey Summerall I invited your girlfriend to the beach with us today after school?'

Hayden: 'Who is this actually?'

And to be honest I actually didn't know who he was talking about it could be Annie or someone else... the one and only Mackenzie Ziegler who keeps stirring up the media and playing with my life. But she is kinda hot though.

Carson: 'Come on bro just admit you want to slide into to kenzies dm's.'

I knew that made Johnny uncomfortable because I can tell he likes Kenzie and that he knows kenzie doesn't like him. But he's not fooling anyone with the I don't care face.

Hayden: 'Get stuffed Carson we aren't dating.'

Carson: 'Yet she said you are.'

Johnny: 'Come on Carson give him a break.'

Carson: 'Oh so you'd slide in too...wow kenzie must have some game if you guys both like her.'

Hayden: 'Shut up Carson let's just get to class.'

I felt bad that everyone thought that me and kenzie were dating because johnny definately liked her. But as we were walking to class as I was trying to forget about what happened with kenzie but I bumped into Jack kelly and Maddie.

Maddie: 'Hey Hayd's how's things going with my little sis?'

Hayden: 'Nothings going on Maddie we aren't dating!'

Maddie: 'I don't know what you see in her honestly she doesn't shut up but I love her.'

Jack: 'Wait you're dating Mackenzie?'

Hayden: 'No for the last time NO!

Just then Kenzie walked up to us

Maddie: 'Speak of the devil.'

Jack: 'Hey here she is MackZ!'

Kenzie: 'Shut up jack! Hey Hayd's can't wait to see you later at the beach. bye.'
