Chapter 17

Liam's POV

I groaned a bit and turned to look at my clock. Five A.M. I stared at it for a while until I eventually got up. When I looked in the mirror, I saw bags under my eyes. They were bloodshot and I was glad we didn't have any plans this morning. I'm sure the boys were still hung over. We had an interview and signing at three though. I was definitely taking a nap before then.

Then it hit me. Ellie was still gone. She was gone. My other little sister, torn away from me just like that. I called Uncle Si last night and he said he'd be on it. He didn't give me all the details, just told me to rest up and call him in the morning. He sounded like a doctor. Man, I just hoped he could fix this. I went downstairs after I had cleaned up a bit, phone in my hand and took in the quiet atmosphere. No one seemed to be up. That is until I heard Perrie stir from the couch. She slept over, Zayn insisting she stayed.

"Morning, Per." I said, yawning a bit.

"Li? Is that you? I thought it was Niall..." She mumbled rubbing her eyes. Her hair was sticking up a bit, but she looked too sad to notice. "He said he wanted Oreos..." I heard her sniffing a bit which made me worry. She knew Ellie was gone but I wondered if she was crying for some other reason. Her phone was in her hand.

"Perrie?" I asked, walking into the kitchen. "You all right, love?"

"I-I'm fine, Li." She said, but I didn't believe her. I frowned when I saw a note in the kitchen with my name on it. It was Meg's handwriting. "Perrie..." I started to say and began to read the note. I scanned through it and felt a tear roll down my cheek. She was gone. She was gone too. I already lost two of my sisters. Who's next, Nicola?

"L-Liam, I-I..." Perrie ran in the kitchen and tried to explain but eventually ended up crying. I wrapped my arms around her as she cried but continued to read the note. Just the way Meg was talking about herself. It was just like she knew she wasn't coming back. She told me no matter what happened she loved me and thanked me for everything. She told me to take care of Ellie after she was gone and that the time she spent with the boys was the most fun she had in years. I finally had enough and folded the note back up. I wasn't going to lose her too. I couldn't and I wouldn't let that happen.

"I'm going to get her." I mumbled, a bit angry. I was tired of this, I thought as I pulled away from Perrie. Walter just needed to stay away from my family.

"L-Liam, she said to give her a day." Perrie said in a tear choked voice. Her blonde hair was still sticking up a bit and now in a bun. Her blue eyes were filled with tears just waiting to fall. "I think she knows what she's doing, Li. Just t-trust her on this one."

I looked down for a minute, then looked at my phone. It was a wallpaper of Danielle and I. I was kissing her cheek and she was smiling wide. I quickly swiped the arrow to unlock my iPhone and saw the picture of Meg and Ella I took back at the hospital, when the girls were playing that little game. Big smiles were on the girls faces, even had that sparkle in their brown eyes. I smiled then opened up the Twitter app.

Before I knew it, all these things were trending topics. I sighed a bit. If she could figure it out, she could tweet me back and maybe even see the trends. The fans blew up my mentions, asking what happened and what was wrong but I was too busy looking at the tweet I just received.
