"On April 20, 1931, a well-known crime lord named William Barry Clifton is confirmed missing by his partner, Naomi Diana Weiss. Any help in finding him will be rewarded with a generous sum of cash, total amount still being discussed." the radio host spoke, seemingly unphased by what he was saying.
"Missing..? How could he be missing?" Daisy asked herself, huddled up in the library's small break room that doubled as an office for many of the staff. Everyone was on their lunch break, listening to the radio and messing around with each other, doing everything they could to make their breaks more fun.
"Excuse me? Is there a Miss Daisy Clifton here?" a small yet confident voice asked, to whom it belonged, no one was quite sure.
Everyone in the room froze and turned to the door, seeing a short woman with bright blonde hair and stunning blue eyes that were complemented by her soft, baby blue blouse. Daisy immediately recognized her and as she rushed over to Naomi to give her a hug, she noticed something was off about her.
"Naomi... Did you hear about William on the radio this morning?" Daisy asked, the radio host's voice still ringing in her ears.
"I did, I mean, I was the one that went to the police about it... But I'm assuming you heard about it as well?"
"Yes, well, I don't think this is a good place to talk about it though. Do you have somewhere to be for a couple hours?" Daisy inquired, hoping to talk to Naomi about William.
"I don't, no. My boss has given me a couple days to take care of myself and try to find him. Why?"
"I want to talk to you about him. We got into a fight a couple days ago and I had a feeling that something like this would happen," Daisy stated, shifting a little uncomfortably where she stood.
"Ah, well. I'd gladly talk to you. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to find him.'
"Wonderful. I'll be back in a moment. I've gotta tell my boss why I'm leaving early."
