I woke up. I say this like I had just taken a nap but that's what it was like, it was like the rest I had taken lasted a thousand years before my eyes shot open. The blood red beads that pierced through the glass right back at his. I sat on a cold metal floor, the coldest thing I had ever felt before the over world. The window in which the two silhouettes stood was tinted, I was forced to squint to focus upon it.
"I don't like this."
I was, unsurprisingly, an experiment gone wrong. An accident. I'm not sure what was meant to become of me, I doubt I ever will. I mean, why would I want to?
"Audio response check commencing in 3... 2... 1..." I could barely make out the words before a deafening screech filled the room. I twitched and bared my teeth, the high pitched frequency sent my brain into a sort of override.
"Audio response check in 3..." I tried to speak but no sound came out,
"2..." I just managed to find my voice and mutter the word,
"1."An alarm sounded and a robotic voice spoke through a newly fitted speaker,
"Opening security door, caution." It repeated over and over again, until a steel door clanged closed. The alarm blared once more. Flashing, this time. There was red, then black, then red, then black. It was.. What's the word-? 'Constant.' The lights were timed, if that were to make any sense.
"Raven." A deep, gravelly voice boomed from a far. Something clicked inside of me, like I was linked to this person. I know it sounds strange now, but it's like a child to their parents when they first meet them... Actually, that's exactly what it was.Word Count: 321
