"Aunt May... I'm sorry I didn't tell you.. I just thought you wouldn't let me do it anymore and I love it so much. I'm so sorry."
Peter Parker sat at the kitchen table in their small New York apartment, his eyes brimming with tears as he spoke to his Aunt, she was mad, actually she was beyond mad that Peter would ever do such a thing. And that thing you might ask? The thing that was so terrible? It was fighting crime, as Spider-Man. Aunt May had accidentally walked into Peter's room one night as he was coming back from a terrible fight, in which he had won, but not without catching some damage on his end. But, he was in the middle of taking off the suit, with his bedroom door open. Who does that when they're trying to keep a secret from the person they're living with? Peter, silly fifteen year old Peter Parker. Now he had to explain to his guardian, why he snuck out late at night to battle crime, and risk his life. And how the Stark internship, wasn't actually an internship. "Aunt May if you just let me explain.."
May rolled her eyes at the young boy on the kitchen chair, and her eyes brimmed with tears. "You would think after what happened to your parents, and your uncle Ben that you wouldn't do something so dangerous!" She was furious with his choices, but could she blame him? It was a great opportunity for him, he saved people, but he was still risking his own life, and May wasn't going to have that. "You need to return the suit, Peter. And that's not a suggestion, I'm telling you." The look on her face turned cold, to a stern scolding look, she was disappointed that he had kept it a secret all this time, and put his life in danger so many times as this 'Spiderboy'.
Peter leaped off the chair in protest, arguing all he could to keep the suit, and his connection with Tony Stark. "But Aunt May! Mister Stark always makes sure I'm safe! He's like a father figure to me!" And he wasn't lying, Tony had become the positive male role model in Peter's life, and he knew saying this would get his aunt to change her mind ever so slightly, knowing that having someone like that would mean so much in his life. "I won't do anything super dangerous anymore? I'll tell Mister Stark that I can't go on scary missions without your approval? You can even talk to him!" Peter begged desperately trying to get his aunt to at least think about it.
May shook her head in disapproval but she then held her hand out to Peter for his phone. "I want to talk to Mister Stark, right now." Once Peter had typed in the number and handed May his phone she walked away from him, knowing he'd try to listen to the conversation, not realizing that he was Spiderman, and had great hearing anyway. Once the phone stopped ringing and May heard the sound of Tony's voice she started on her rant about how unsafe it was for Peter to be doing what Tony had him doing, and that she would have no part in supporting it. Tony soon had cut her off to explain that he was taking full responsibility for Peter, that he would protect him with his life. "Miss Parker, I swear to you Peter is in the best hands possible, I would never let anything happen to him." May let out a huff of anger as she started to protest again, but she was slowly giving up, it was Tony Stark, he was Iron Man, of course she could trust him but she was still worried. "His schooling must always come first, Stark. And if his grades start to slip, that's it, no more suit. No more Spider-Man." May looked at Peter over her shoulder and the look on his face showed he had heard the entire conversation, and that he was happy that May had decided to let him continue being Spider-Man.
"Aunt May, I really am sorry I never told you, I just knew that you wouldn't want me to do it anymore, and Im really, really sorry." Peter wrapped his arms around his aunt, giving her a tight squeeze before he took his phone back and held it to his ear, talking to Tony. "Thank you Mister Stark, you won't regret it, I promise." Tony's response was muffled as he was headed into a meeting of some sort and was hanging up. Peter excitedly jumped up and smiled at May. "Thank you so much for not making me give this up... But speaking of it... I'm supposed to meet Mister Stark in twenty for a new mission. Can I go? Please?!" Once May agreed to let him go he sprinted into his bedroom to put the suit back on, a grin on his face.
