Alex's POV
I'm having a nightmare about my father. "DAD!!! PLEASE DON'T GO!!!" I wake up to someone shaking me
"Alex!!" I look in her calming dark brown eye's and give her a big shaky hug. "It's okay Alex, I'm here for you"
I had been one of Lilly's foster kids for almost a year now, she's the only person I talk to. "Ok, now go back to sleep Alex" I shake my head yes and crawl under the covers. With pity in her eye's, she leaves the room.
I slowly drift off to sleep. Little did I know my life would change the next day.
Lilly's POV
The kid's had just gone to school when I got a phone call from a person interested in adopting Alex. I didn't want to tell him till it was official. he has had a terrible life already and I didn't want to give him false hope
Lilly: "Hello Mr. Washington"
Washington: "Hello, so my family and I have accepted to adopt Alexander"
Lilly: "That's amazing! I expect you and your family will take wonderful care of him."
Washington: "when should my son meet him at the airport?"
Lilly: "how is two weeks from now, on Friday?"
Washington: "that would be great. call me when you get a time for me to pick him up at the airport."
Lilly: "Ok, you guys have a nice night Mr. Washington"
Washington: "You as well"
TIME SKIP.....
Alex POV
I had gotten home from school and I closed the door behind me. Then I noticed all the decorations. I knew I could talk without the other kid's hearing me because they are all in middle school and don't get home until it is 4:30, and it was 2:45.
"Hey Lilly, What is all of this?!?" I had yelled because she was In the other room. she came out with a cake that said CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! what is this about?

"Alex, I'm proud to say it, You're getting adopted!!!!" She said this with tears in her eyes, I was on the verge of tears also. I can't believe someone actually want's me. We shared a hug, then ate some cake.
