~Amagalea~

Amagalea has a fairly dense history and intricate workings. This will summarize some of the basic things so my writing isn't too confusing. There is description of the races, the 3 kinds of magic, longevity vs immortality, the continent, and timeline.

Pronunciation: Ah-mah-gal-ee-ah (Elvish) or A-mag-gal-ey-a (Athryan Human)

Races

Elves - Capitol- Elvara
(Reside on Northern part of Athrya)
The Elves are the largest civilization and most magically attuned. They have pointed ears, sharper canines, heightened senses and abilities. They are believed to have been the first race on Amagalea.

Elven magic primarily focuses on objects and the earth. Typically, one may have the Magic of the Earth or, the Era'kashiin. If not, then they can cast spells and enchantments. Almost every Elf has magic.

Witches- Capitol- Ei'maea
(Reside- Marshes, islands and coasts)
The Ei'maea, Witches, are female magic users with blue blood and violet eyes (eyes glow when using magic). They have heightened senses. They are neither Human nor Elves. Some say that they emerged from the breeding of the two races, though others strongly believe they were created by the god of death himself.

     Witch magic is different than Elven magic in the way that it focuses more on a person than objects. Instead of casting spells to change tides, throw a knife, grow a tree or manipulate the Earth, Witch magic usually involves spells that affect the mind or body, of themselves or another. And if not spells, then potions and summoning.

   Witch society surrounds that of a High Council with Three Proctors. The Council holds 9, 3 of which make the executive decisions. There is the Council, the Protectors (Warriors), the Seekers (scholars) and the common-women. Men in the society are either born from the Witches or are Prisoners of War. Either way, they are slaves to the females as it is a highly developed matriarchy.

   Witches are known to be very manipulative, untrustworthy, and cruel.

Warlocks- Capitol- Esavul
(Reside- Marshes and coasts)
The Warlock Kind, the Aimaei, are male Witches. They have blue blood, violet eyes that shimmer when using magic, and heightened senses. Despite them being the same actual race, Witches and Warlocks (the Ei'maea and Aimaei) are at constant conflict. For a long time, Warlocks were under the control of the Witches. Under control or killed. Only recently has the Warlock society been able to develope independently of its sister-race. It is Witch Law to kill any son born with magic at birth and vise versa for Warlock Law.

Warlock magic is the same as Witch magic— focusing more on a person rather than objects. However, Warlocks do not put magic at the center of their civilization. Unlike the Witches, who see magic as the only way, Warlocks see science and technology as another way to be combined and "find the true path".

Much like Witch Society, the Warlocks are ruled by a Council though it has 10 members and 4 High Lords within it who make the executive decision. There is the Aien (scholars) and Waein (warriors). Unlike the other societies, the Warlocks do not have a "court" exactly. It's mostly an accumulation of the Aien, Waein and successful males. At the bottom of the chain, there is the women. The women, much like the men in the Witch Society, are meant for breeding and slave work.
People tend to think of the Warlocks to be just as manipulative and cruel as Witches.

Radakae- Capitol- Radakta
The Radakae are a very war-like people. They are considered to be brutes among the other races. With red and brown skin tones, tusks and horns, and height above 7 feet, it isn't a wonder. Not to mention, they are incredibly fast and strong.

  This race is not known for having magic. Though those of them that do tend to become Shamans of their various villages. Their magic mostly leans towards that of the Earth,  affecting objects, or seeing the future.
