Chapter 11

I sit on the terrace waiting for Siddharth to come back home. I need to talk to him about Mr. Prakash and see what he got to say. At around 8 'O' clock in the evening I hear a car approaching. I stand up to see that it is Siddharth's car approaching. 

I go downstairs to open the door for Siddharth. He comes in smiling. 

"How nice it feels when you come home and your wife opens the door for you" Siddharth says looking at me with his innocent face.

I smile and say "So every time you come home I will be the one to open the door for you". I move towards Siddharth and kiss him on his forehead. He then wraps his hands around me and looks into my eyes, passionately. I too try to reflect the same passion and love from eyes. At such sensitive situations I should be careful. 

Siddharth then leaves me and starts moving upstairs. I follow him. We go into his room. I go to his wardrobe and take out a night pant and a t-shirt for him and a pair of undergarments. I say "I am putting your clothes on the bed. Go and have a bath quickly while I set the dinner on the table.

He catches my hand and pulls me towards him and says "Now I understand the advantages of getting married". I smile and push him gently and say "Just go and have a bath first". I leave the room as Siddharth locks it behind me.

I go to the dining table and start arranging the food on the table. All the maids have left early today. So I have to do everything by myself. After sometime Siddharth comes down to the dining table. I smile and say "Dinner ready officer". 

He starts eating and I too eat along with him.

"Where are your mom and dad? They are not back yet" I ask him casually.

Siddharth nods and without looking from his plate says "They are still in the office. It will be late until they come back".    

After sometime when he is thoroughly into eating I ask "So how was your meeting with dad and Mr. Prakash?"

Siddharth looks up from his plate and says "Fantastic". I wait a minute I finally ask "Can I know why you guys met?"

This time Siddharth didn't looked uneasy. He simply nodded and said "Hmm... As you know Mr. Prakash is the CEO of Olympus hospitals. He and your dad are good friends. So Mr. Prakash is opening a new branch of his hospital in Musheerabad so he came to invite your dad. And your dad wanted to introduce me to him as his new son-in-law, so even I went there. "

I nod. "If my dad and Mr. Prakash were good friends then why didn't he come to our wedding?" I shoot at him.

This time Siddharth turned uneasy. He then replied "Hmm... Don't know. Maybe he was busy in the work of his new branch". 

Siddharth proved that he is a true police officer and a perfectionist as he lies very beautifully. Now my targets are keeping an eye on Mr. Prakash and opening the safe.
