Ginny's POV
I don't know why Hermione would think that both and Harry and Louis liked me. I kind of fancied both of them for a couple years, but I knew it wouldn't be returned. It was a lost hope. Oh well.
Hermione followed me as I walked into the Great Hall and took my seat next to Harry.. uh Styles. For some reason Louis wasn't very happy about that. His eyebrows knotted and he stared at his empty plate in front of him. I reached over and punched him on the shoulder.
"Harr-" he started to say, but when he saw me he began to lighten up. He sat up straighter and smiled cheesily. Oh Louis.
The rest of the group split up according to house. Ron sat down next to me.
"Uh..." Ron moaned, "When are we getting food?"
"Shh!!" Hermione said as McGonagall began the sorting. Not a lot of new Gryffindors, surprisingly. Louis' sister, Lottie, ended up being a Hufflepuff. Louis didn't seem upset by that, he cheered and gave her a thumbs up. Such a good big brother he was.
Soon enough, the sorting was over and the beginning of year feast had begun. We started stuffing our faces in with food, especially my lovely brother, Ron.

May's POV
On the carriage, I saw something I haven't seen before. These black winged creatures were pulling the carriage. They weren't the prettiest things in the world, but they were beautiful in a different way. i had no idea why I hadn't noticed them before, they were right out in the open. Something about them reminded me of ...dark events that happened over the summer. I grimaced at the thought of it. I shrugged it off and turned my attention to Zayn.
I could've sworn Zayn nearly grabbed my hand on the carriage. That would've been great, I was really crushing hard on him. I thought he would never return the feeling. Sigh...
He gave me a polite wave good bye as I walked to the Hufflepuff table with Niall. Zayn looked almost pained to see me go. Strange boy he was. I knotted my eyebrows in confusion. Niall seemed to notice.
"What's going on, May?" he put a hand on my shoulder as we sat down. His blue eyes met mine.
I looked away to the floor, "Nothing really..."
"May," he paused, "does this involve a guy?"
"Maybe..." I trailed off.
"You know you can tell me," he poked me in the stomach with a comforting smile on his face.
"Well... alright. It's Zayn.."
"Zayn... you know he fancies you, right?" he blurted out then covered his mouth.
My jaw dropped, "HE DOES?!"
Niall let out a long sigh, "Yes, I wasn't supposed to tell you that."
I kissed him on the cheek, "Thank you, hope you don't get in trouble."
"As far as he's concerned, uh... Louis told you," he said.
"Okaaaaaaaay," I told him, "well you can tell him that I fancy him as well."
Niall smiled, "He'll be as happy as clams, perhaps he'll get over me telling you."
"He better."

Liam's POV
"We'll meet up later, guys, kay?" Lena said.
She liked to take charge of group get-togethers and stuff like that, she enjoyed being the leader. I guess that's why I fell in love with her. She was just so perfect, so unique, so amazing.
I jumped out of my daze when I noticed that the rest of the group were giving me strange looks, "Uh, yea, okay, see you guys later."
I walked to the Ravenclaw table without saying another word, or before I could embarrass myself in front of Lena.
I saw Luna and John Hilliard sitting next to each other, they seemed to be enjoying themselves, laughing and joking around.
"Hey," I sat down across from them and next to a couple of fourth year girls who scooted back a bit when they saw me. I lifted my eyebrows and looked to my friends from across the table. They shrugged their shoulders and turned their attention to McGonagall who had begun the sorting. I didn't really pay attention. I applauded when first years became a part of Ravenclaw, but that's about it. I was thinking about Lena.
I had to do it this year, I had to tell her how I feel about her. I had to. If I didn't do it, it would never happen.
Once the sorting was over, Dumbledore approached the podium and began making announcements and such, until he was interrupted by a toad faced woman wearing a pink ... everything. She looked older, like perhaps mid fifties and she spoke in a nasally high voice.
Oh, god no. It can't be. She had to be the new Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher. She looked like she wouldn't hurt anything. I was pretty sure this new teacher would teach us how to knit or sew pillows. She looked like that type of person.
Dumbledore used that opportunity to introduce her, "Students, this is your new Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher, Professor Umbridge."
She coughed lightly again. Dumbledore gestured for her to come to the podium.
Umbridge smiled coldly at us, "Hello students, as Professor Dumbledore has told you, I'm Professor Umbridge. I'm sure, we'll have a great, great year together."
I heard Fred Weasley mutter loudly from the Gryffindor table, "That's likely." Earning several snickers from the surrounding tables.
Umbridge gave him a pained look, "As I was saying, we will have a wonderful year together." She continued smiling coldly and went back to her seat.
Dumbledore continued his speech at the podium. As he finished, he waved his hand, making food appear on the plates in front of us. "Enjoy your year," said the headmaster.
We started digging in, joking around, ect. I saw Zayn hexing Malfoy's food. I didn't know what exactly he did though. Malfoy took a large bite of apple and spit it out onto his plate. Zayn was trying extremely hard not to laugh as was Jonah. Malfoy took water and swooshed it in his mouth only to spit it out into his cup. He started breathing frantically, looking around for any thing to cool his tongue while waved hands, trying to get some air in his mouth. He gave up and rushed to the restroom. Jonah was rolling on the floor laughing as soon as Malfoy was out of sight. Crabbe and Goyle gave Jonah and Zayn angry looks only causing them to laugh harder.
Soon enough, we finished our meals and got the Ravenclaw common room before the rest of the crowd got there. We couldn't get past the door. It gave us an impossibly hard riddle that none of us could solve. The eagle definitely didn't like Luna's first answer, which was of course, "nargles." So it changed the riddle to something even harder. We had to wait for the prefect to come with the first years. He answered the question in one try, making us look like idiots. He went around with a smug look on his face whenever we were in sight for the rest of the night. After meeting up with some old friends, and getting settled in for the first official day of school the next day, I passed out the second my head met my pillow.
