I slowly start waking back up, first I feel im on a bed, then I hear voices. I don't rember why or when I fell asleep.
"Once she wakes up, you will bring her to the castle. Once there find the royal healer. Tell him When the fire burns the crow flies. He will understand." Elder Idona whispers.
Suddenly everything rushes back and gives me headache. I sit up slowly and grab my head. Leah notices and quickly rushes over to help me up. She hands me a glass of water and I quickly gulp it down. As I stand up I stumble slightly but eventualy steady myself.
"What is behind that door?!" I demand. The gaurd, Sebastian, glances at the two ladies and leaves the room again. I stand there impatiently, staring at Elder Idona. She doesn't answer instead she motions for me to follow her.
We walk back down the hallway, but this time the voices don't speak, only snicker. I try not to focus on it, instead I focus on the way Elder Idona walks. She walks more tense than normal, soon a heavy feeling falls over me. I feel like something is inside that room, but they wont tell me.
The elder flicks her wrist and the door opens, the womans voice whispers to me, urging me to go in. I slowly aproach the door, stopping just before. The womans voice tells me to go in, I take a deep breath and walk in. I look around the room to find old books piled in stacks covered in dust.
Light a flame and find the book that glows
Something takes over again and I do as the voice tells me, scanning the piles of books. I slowly walk arund the room, carefully glancing over each book. A spark catches my eye. In the cornor of the small darkened room is a book that seems to respond to my flame. I reach out and grab the book, looking over the text.
The fire's will
I glance over at Elder Idona and Leah and see them entranced in their conversation. I walk over to them, removing my flame. The book imediantly reacts and stops glowing. I grab the book and hide it in my dress before Leah hurries me to leave.
You have done well Venus
The womans voice whispers. I look up to see if anyone else can hear her, but they just keep walking down the hallway. Elder Idona, who looks back at me and gives a small smile laced with worry.
We walk into the main entrance to see Sebastian standing, and guarding the door. Upon noticing us he opens the front door and holds it for us to walk out. I thank him quietly and walk out and see two more guards, one has our luggage the other has a lead. I look at Pearl.
That better not be for me
Leah walks to the guards and ensures we are one hundred percent safe.
I turn and was about to thank Elder Idona but she disappeared. Leah comes and taps my shoulder, alerting me we're leaving now. I nod and she walks away, and I follow her. The gaurd with the lead approaches us, and leans down to put it around her neck, without thinking I grab one end of it and set it on fire. It burns to ash in the man's hand."I suggest you don't do that again or conciquinces will worsen for you." I don't bother looking down at him.
I walk towards the other two gaurds with Pearl following close behind. I stand next to Leah who leans over and whispers, "You could ave done that more ladylike."
I say nothing, I just put my hand on Pearls head and pet her.
"Okay, your highness, we are teleporting halfway to the castle. We will end up in a woodsy area since we are teleporting a bigger load." I realised that Sebastian was the only person in the group who can use teleportation magic.
I watch as he starts chanting, an arcane circle surrounds us with some sort of writing on it. He finishes his incantation and the circle glows blue. I watch as the area around me glows, I watch as my feet start to glow. My feet feal cold than they disapear, that same feeling crawling up my entire body. I look around and see that its happening to everyone. I quickly make sure that the book is still in my dress as my hands disapear. I look around and see the same thing happening to everyone else. I stare into the night sky as my sight starts fading.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I slowly start gaining sight back, except were in some sort of forest. As my neck and shoulders come back, I look around and see the gaurds have already fully teleported and are gathering our bags. I look down at Pearl and see she is focused on something in the forest. I bend down and look to where she is looking, noticing a little movement.
"Leah, take Pearl and go to the gaurds." I tell her quietley.
I watch the movement get closer to the edge. I stand up straight and summon a sheild of roots and water around them. Once they are safe i summon a fire in my right hand. A figure charges out of the woods.
I throw the fireball at the man. It grazes his black cloak and he hisses in pain. I summon roots around his feet and arms to hold him in place. He struggles as the roots grow tighter on his arms and legs, restricting any movement he had. I slowly walk towards him as he struggles.
"I wouldn't struggle, those roots will just get tighter and tighter until eventually, snap." I emphasize the word snap by snapping my fingers.
He stops struggling for a minute, and his head falls. I step closer to him, keeping a fire ball in my hand. I reach out to lift up his hood, but the roots disapear and he grabs my arm, burning it. I scream out in pain. I grab his arm and burn it as well, he lets go of my arm and grabs his. He summons a fire circle around us. I summon cloud of rain and it starts distinguishing the fire. He looks angry as he summons a forbiden spell, dark fire. I create a sheild of water around me and brace myself for the impact of the fire.
The fire hits my shield and I get knocked backwords. As I almost hit the ground I sumon a vine from a tree to grab my wrist, stopping me from completly falling down. He comes charging at me again this time he grabs my arm without burning it.
"WHEN THE FIRE BURNS," he screams his hood falling away from his face, "THE CROW FL-" I interupt him by burning his eye. He screams in pure agony, holding his burned face in his hands. He summons a teleportation circle and disapears before I can do anything.
As he disapears, the smell of burning flesh stays behind. I make the rain pour down harder to get rid of any remains of the dark magic he left behind. The release the vine from my arm and stand up, looking around for Leah, Pearl, and the gaurds. I see them staring at me with wide eyes. I walk towards them, removing the sheild. Leah, Pearl and Sebastian run toward me. I try walking toward them but my legs get heaier and the world starts tilting. As I hit the ground everything gets darker.
