IMAGINE: You're driving on the highway when you notice a dog in the break down lane barking at any car that would stop. You pull over and get out of your car. You walk over to the dog carefully not knowing if the dog is rabid. The dog keeps barking at you like something is wrong and it wants to follow you.
You grab your phone as the dog runs off you follow as it goes down embankment where a car is on its side with another dog laying down with his face looking into the car window. As you get closer you make out a person's hand. You run over and see a man badly hurt still buckled in. You dial 911 and tell them what you have found. After that you stay with the man. "Who's there?" the man asks. "It's all right sir I'm Y/N it seems one of your dogs wanted me to find you".
"I-I-don't know what happened the car just slammed into me before I knew it I opened my eyes and saw my dog sniffing-". The man stops talking so you snake yourself into the car to see that the stirring wheel is crushing into the man's chest, blood covers his shirt, and pant legs. You get a look at his legs to see a huge piece of glass is embedded into his leg and blood is pouring out.
You take your handkerchief out of your pocket and make a tourniquet with it. The man whinses as you fix it. "It's OK sir I just need to stop you from bleeding to death," you replied. One of the dogs start to bark so you get out to see a police officer and paramedics coming down. "Over here he's in bad shape and bleeding!!". At first the dogs won't let them near their master but you pull the dogs to the side and calm them down.
After the fire department show up they cut out the man and get ready to transport him. "Wait"he said weakly. "Sir we have to go"The EMT remarked. "Y/N can you take care of my dogs until I can get someone to get them". "I swear sir I'll give the police officer my address" you replied. The dogs whimper and walk over to him.
"Be-good you two I'll see you soon I-swear" as the dogs licked his hand. After that you take the dogs to your kennel as your partner Derek sees you come in. "Y/N I thought I told you not to pick up strays". "They're not strays their owner got into a car accident I was on the scene and he asked me to take care of them until he can get someone to pick them up"you replied. Derek walks over as the dogs just laid on the floor whimpering.
"They're beautiful dogs well groomed and taking care of" patting them. "This one is named Oso and the other one is named Chicklet" you stated. "Why don't we give these guys a bath to get some of the blood off of them than give them something to eat?". "You guys want to be clean for when your master comes". Both of the dogs enjoyed the idea and followed you and Derek to the back. That night you're getting the dog's cage ready as Derek came in with them.
"I think they love being outside I had to drag them in". "All right you two I know you miss your master but for tonight you two have to sleep in these cages" you remarked. The dogs barked in protest. "It's just for tonight how about I stay just to make sure you two are all right". The dog walked over to you and started to lick your face. As Derek put the dogs in you grab the cot from the back room.
"Are you sure you're going to be OK?". "Sure I'll even keep my phone near by now go before your mom starts freaking out" as you give him a kiss on the check. "When I come back in the morning I'll bring breakfast for you" and Derek locked the doors as you turn off the lights. "Good night Oso good night Chicklet"you say as you fall a sleep. The next morning you're woking up by banging on the door. You get up and look to see a woman and a man at the door.
You clean yourself up and go to the door. "May I help you?" you asks. "Sorry to wake you up but my brother told us that you have his two German Shepard dogs"he stated. "Their names are Oso and Chicklet" the lady added. "Come on in". They walk in and follow you to the outside pens. "They love sleeping outside they didn't want to be inside they kept barking until I let stay outside here" you said.
When the dogs see the two people they start barking and dancing around for joy. "I think they know you" as they giggled. You let the dogs out and they run over to them. "Thank you so much for taking care of these dogs they mean the world to my brother and his son" the man stated. "Come on I'll help you bring them outside". When the dogs saw the car they jumped right in.
"Before I forget my brother wanted me to give you this check for taking care of these guys for the night". "Thank you and tell your brother to come on by to say hi when he's better". "You've got yourself a deal" and they left. A month went by and you're cleaning up the joint as you hear the door bell ring. You come outside to see the man from the accident and little boy who's cute as a button with both of the dogs.
"Well hello I see you're up and about". "All thanks to you. They told me that if you didn't put that tourniquet on my leg I would of bled to death"he stated. "And who's this little cutie?". The boy blushed as he smiled. "This is my son Johnny he wanted to thank you too my son has a special bond with Oso". "Well I'm glad they were funny dogs they didn't want to be indoors they kept barking until I let them outside in our outside pens".
"Unless it's raining or too hot they stay outside at night but when my son's around Oso sleeps with him"he replied. "And that check you gave me thank you it helped pay some of our bills" you replied. "Tanks you for saving my daddy"Johnny stated. He let go of Criss's hand and gave you a hug. "You're welcome sweet heart" as you gave him a kiss. "We should get going come on buddy grandma is probably waiting for us with lunch". "Have a nice rest of the day Mindfreak" you stated. Criss looks at you and smiles as they walk out.
