One Step Closer

[Sorry for that really long chapter. This one will be a little shorter, I promise!]

I froze. What the hell is he doing? I just don't understand, why is his arm around me? Is her trying to comfort me? Wait, wait wait wait. Does Eli like me?
I looked up at Eli who had a stern look on his face. I never noticed how many freckles he had. I could feel my face getting hot. I didn't know what to say or what to do, I was in such shock. I mean I thought from Thursday that maybe he liked me or something, but I wasn't sure. He's really cute though, but he's also an ass. But then again he's really cute. Oh god, do I like him too?
Amena turned around and her jaw dropped when she say Eli and I. She tapped Naomi who almost broke her neck in the progress.
Her eyes were wide and she mouthed to me, "What happened?"

I mouthed back, "I don't freaking know."

Then I grabbed Eli's hand. He began to rub the back of my hand with his thumb and I leaned into his shoulder a bit. I like this.
Others began looking behind them, including Ashley. I don't understand why Eli liked her. She's flat. She has a nice face, I guess, but she doesn't have a body. She doesn't like him either. She's always talking about how annoying he is and how much she hates him. She just keeps him around so if she broke up with someone she could have a shoulder to cry on. And that happened a lot, because Ashley is a hoe.

I whispered to Eli, "Hey, people are looking. Maybe you should uh-"

"Oh," he looked at the half of the cast just staring at us, "Great idea."

He moved his arm off of me and I took a step away from him. We both look at each other and smiled. When Eli smiles, like really genuinely smiles, he looks so cute.

Mr. B finally let us go, and I skipped to the girls dressing room. I was smiling and blushing so hard my cheeks hurt. I started to take off my costume when Naomi and Amena ran down.

"What happened?" Amena exclaimed.

"I literally broke my neck when I saw you two!" Naomi laughed.

"Go'head girl!" Jackie, a senior who was my personal quick changing helper shouted. She sauntered into the room and picked up a hanger to string up my wedding dress, "You gotta tell us what happened!"

"I honestly don't know, he just motioned for me to come over and then he threw his arm around me!" I started to put on my sweatpants.

Naomi laughed, "Man, Brooklyn, you work fast."

"I wasn't even trying."

"What are you going to do now, I mean do you like him?" Amena asked.

"Can we not talk about that now."
There were too many girls staring at my friends and I squealing, I didn't want them to start spreading rumors.

"Wait what happened?" Denise, my other quick changer walked in.

"D, you didn't see?" Jackie asked in amazement.

"Nah I didn't, or else I wouldn't be asking." She replied.

"He went like dis." Jackie pretended she was Eli and wrapped her arm around Denise.

"Get the hell off of me." Denise pushed Jackie off of her, "Good for you, Brooklyn."

"Hon, you and Eli would be so cute. I wish you much happiness together." Jackie patted my shoulder.

"Please, we aren't even together. He just put his arm around me."

"Well he obviously likes you!" Naomi exclaimed, followed by the approvals of Amena, Denise, and Jackie.

"Ok, maybe he does like me. And maybe I like him too. Whatever, I'll figure it out tomorrow."

"Oooh and he's gonna kiss you tomorrow!" Jackie squealed, "Have fun girly."

My oldest brother, Joseph, picked me up from school.

"Hey, B, how was rehearsal?"

"It was good," I said as I got into the car.

"We're going to chick fila because I'm hungry. Ya want anything?"

"I guess I'll have.... A small vanilla milkshake, no cherry."

"Cool."

We got to the chick fila and my brother went inside to order. I was tired and put my seat back.
Then my phone buzzed.
Snapchat from Eli 🔥
Oh. My. Lanta.
I unlocked my phone as quickly as I could. Why won't this damn Snapchat load? Should I respond right away? Should I wait? Oh lordy.
It was a video, his father walked into the frame and was holding a mug of tea, "But I don't wanna drink teaaaa!" Eli whined.
His dad handed it to him "Just drink it ,you ungrateful little-"
Then another video loaded, it was half of his face and he sipped some tea, "I can't believe you told me to drink this stuff, it's fucking disgusting!" He laughed, and the video ended.
Phone battery at 7%

I responded as fast as I could with a pic of me, but it was dark, so you could barely see me, Drink it lol
Sent.
I texted Naomi and Amena,
ELI JUST SNAPPED ME AGHHHH!!!
Before I could read the text Amena had sent my phone started to shut down.
Battery at 1%, shutting down.
