the bright sun shined through my dark grey curtains as i opened them, wanting more natural light in my room.

yesterday was..

weird. in a good way, actually.

Ethan has something that nobody else has. his past, which he mentioned, was probably bugging him a lot.

i could see that at his expression when i asked him about it.

i walked over to my bedside table, grabbing my necklace that i always put on while i walked towards the kitchen.

"hey girl," emma says, taking a bite of her toast. "i see you've been looking at Ethan Dolan,"

"what?" i say, walking over to her seat. "hey, why are you searching through my laptop?" i ask, sitting down next to her.

i was really mad, not because she used my laptop, but she knows that i feel something for him.

"i was curious, i saw you yesterday,"

"where?"

"you where on your laptop, and you were biting your lip which you don't do that often." she says, handing me my laptop. "gotta go, i have a date."

"in the morning?" i chuckle, checking the time. "nevermind." i say, clearing my search history before anyone could see it.

i had to get ready for work, so i quickly brushed my hair and brushed my teeth.

i walked towards my baby blue car, stepping in and putting the keys in the ignition.

i walked through the doors of the store, putting my work clothes on and with that, my phone rang.

"hey darling, how are you?" my mom asks me through the phone. "great," i smile, "how are you?" i ask, leaning on the door.

"good, well, bob broke his foot while he played golf, so he isn't able to do things,"

"oh. isn't he in a lot of pain?" i ask, as I'm playing with the fabric of my clothes. I started to get a little concerned now.

"well, you know him, he calls the paramedics when he has a blister," she chuckles.

"so.. we can't fly to you for your graduation," she continues,

"you do understand, darling?"

"yeah.. yeah, it's fine." i say, sighing. I was somewhat disappointed, but I couldn't force them to fly out for my graduation if he was in pain.

"well, i have to go, i'm at work, so.." i say. "i love you.. Ana," she says, sighing.

"i love you too, mom."

and with that, i hung up the phone. i continues what i was doing, and walked forward.

i looked to my left, seeing mr. Dolan.

i gasp, while he chuckles.

"i thought it was you,"

"what a suprise, miss Steele."

"just.. Ana, just Ana," "you're in here."

"well, i was here for some buisness," he says, walking closer to me. "i needed to pick up a few things,"

"you free?"

"yeah.." i nod, "what can i help you with?"

"do you guys stock cable ties in here?" he asks, a serious look plastered on his face. "cable ties? yes, we do," i quickly say,

"i can show you, if you want,"

"lead the way, miss Steele," he says, following me. "just Ana,"

while we stood there, he grabbed the cable ties. "is that it?" i ask, while he nods his head no. "masking tape."

"are you redecorating?" i ask, leading him to the masking tape. "no,"

"uhm.. we have two inch, and one inch," i say, showing him the tape. "but the truly inspecting handy man will have both in his toolbox," i say, causing him to chuckle.

"of course he will," he says, grabbing the tape out of my hand. "it's rare to find a connoisseur these days," "do you want anything else?" i ask, rubbing my hands together.

"yes. rope."

i rolled some rope for mr. Dolan, while he looked at me. "that's impressive," he mutters.

"are you a girl scout?"

i chuckle, "um.. no,"

"organized group activities aren't really my thing," i mutter while i still roll the rope.

"so what is your thing?" he asks, "um.. i don't know, books?" i chuckle,

"okay. rope, tape, cable ties... you're the complete serial killer," i laugh, "not today."

"anything else?" i ask, sighing. "what would you recommend?"

"for a do-it-yourselfer? uhm..

maybe coveralls, so you protect your clothes?"

"i could just take all my clothes off." he says, while i nod. "okay.. no clothes." "i mean, no coveralls." I wanted to punch myself for that.

"and.. i can't really think of anything else," i say, while he nods. "i guess that's it, then."

we walk towards the counter, while i put everything in a paper bag. "thank you for answering emma's questions, by the way." i say, continuing what i was doing.

"i hope she's feeling better," he says, smiling. "she is, yeah, much."

"she is just having a hard time clearing a photo of you, i think."

"if she'd like an original, i'm around tomorrow,"

"you'd be willing to do that?" i ask.

"want me to bag for you, Ana?" tom asks, holding my shoulders. "no,"

ethan looks at me, while there becomes a tension between me, tom and ethan.

ethan hands me his card, while i look at it. "i'm staying locally at the Heathman,"

"call me before 10."

and with that, he walks out of the store.

i clear my throat, thinking about what just happened.

he hands the bag with his stuff towards his guard, stepping onto the grey car.

that's when he leaves.

ethan. ethan dolan.

mr. dolan.
