a dad is the one true man in a girl's life she should always be able to count on. the one who pretends he knows how to braid her hair but ends up failing miserably. the man who's supposed to protect his family, to comfort, to create the feeling of safety. i don't remember the last time i had one of those. a dad is like a mythical creature to me, everyone always talks about them as if their Gods, but how do i even know if mine exists? he got one chance, to change, to right all his wrongs. so here's to the girls whose dads broke their heart before any guy could.
