Kira was sitting on a couch in Liv's living room, and she couldn't help but feel..off. It was too quiet and she could hear the clock on her right ticking away. She was trying not to get any blood from her nose anywhere on the furniture, but it proved to be hard as it would not stop flowing out. Liv had gone to find the first aid kit and hadn't been back in what seemed like an hour. Kira began contemplating whether this was all a bad idea and whether she should make a break for it when Liv reappeard from upstairs.

"Sorry it took so long, I couldn't remember where it was," she says, trying to open the box and not looking up.

"Ah..no it's fine," Kira replies.

They settle in an awkward silence, Kira trying to come up with something else to say, and Liv still trying to open the box.

"What the hell..," Liv mutters as she tries to pry it open for the twentieth time. "Who designed this stupid thing...I may need to go find jackhammer to open this.."

She tries once more to open it and huffs in frustration.

It seems she had forgotten about Kira sitting in her couch due to her being so quiet. Kira, on the other hand, had given up on trying to make small talk and was instead focusing on stifling a laugh from escaping. She couldn't help but find the smaller girl's frustration amusing, and in a very small way, kinda adorable. She watched as Liv puffed up her cheeks and got closer to giving up and actually going to find that jackhammer. She decided to help out.

"Uh.." she cleared her throat.

Liv, in the middle of almost slamming the box on the floor, finally looks up. She sees Kira trying to stop a smile and realizes she had forgotten all about her. She slowly lowers the box and starts to turn a shade of red resembling a beet.

"Yeah..?" she tries pretending that none of that had happened.

"Do you want some help with that?" Kira asks her, and puts out her hand.

She walks over to her and hands it over, "Sure, you can try, but trust me when I say that stupid thing is sealed shu..." She trails off as she sees Kira pop open a couple of seals on the sides of the box, and then looks up at her, not even bothering to hide her smile then. The shade of red darkens, if that's even possible.

"Oh, haha," she laughs weakly, "I was obviously aware those were there."

"Obviously," Kira agrees.

"MOving on..where does it hurt?"

"My nose?"

"...right."

Liv approaches Kira and brushes her hair out of her face.

 "Let's see then..."

Liv busies herself with cleaning the wound and the blood, having to apply alcohol to a piece of cotton and dabbing at it. Kira winces and moves away, but Liv quickly cups the side of her face.

"Sorry, it's going to sting a little.." she warns.

"Okay", Kira replies and reluctantly moves forward again, not failing to notice how Liv doesn't remove her hand.

Neither of them say anything, but this time, it isn't awkward. It's a comfortable silence. While Liv works away, too distracted by cleaning and addressing the wound, Kira starts to unconsciously study her. She notices how nice her brown eyes are, which is rare, since brown is such a common eye color. She notes how, upon closer inspection, Liv actually has freckles? And such nice and long eyelashes too, for that matter. It's then that Kira realizes how close to each other's face they actually are. Having her cup Kira's face wasn't helping either. But it seems she's the only one who had noticed.
