"Hanna dear, can you give me my phone? I think its somewhere in my bag" I got up to a sitting position and searched moms bag till I found her phone in the back pocket.

"Here you go" I stretched my arm out to hand her the phone in the front seat.

"Thank you" She said taking it and turning to my dad.

"Its late, Hanna should be in bed by now" Dad sighted and patted my moms shoulder with his other one still on the wheel.

"It'll be fine" Mom rolled her eyes and looked back at her phone. Since nobody was talking i looked out of the window, it was midnight and the streets were abandoned. It felt like we were the only people crazy enough to be out on this weather, the wind was trying to tame the trees and the rain was pounding on the roof, I layed back on the seet and got comfortable to close my eyes and sleep.

I blinked a couple of times getting used to the bright light that was flashing in my face. I finally opened my eyes taking in the room around me, it didn't help that the room itself was bright and mostly in white ,a man was standing infront of the bed with a clipboard in a white robe.

"How are you feeling? " I felt a little sore but fine.

"Good, where im I?" He nodded his head and wrote something on his clipboard.

"Youre at the hospital" I nodded, but didn't really understand why i was here.

"Do you remember anything? Like you're name?" I gulped, this couldnt be good.

"My name is...uh...Hanna? "He wrote everything down.

"And tell me Hanna, do you have any siblings ? Or people that could take care of you?" He smiled weekly at me.

"I..." I couldn't remember anything, like I was looking at a blank page and didn't have a pen anywhere near. A couple of minutes passed before I gave up on trying to remember. "I...I can't remember " The doctor frowned and looked at his clipboard again, he was avoiding looking at me.

"Do you remember anything from last night?" I thought about it and the only thing that came up was blank once again. Noticing my expression the man wrote something down.

"Hanna, you were in a car crash" My eyes widened and I knew what was coming next.

"You're parents didn't survive" My eyes started burning and my throat went dry, a single tear dropped from my eyes, but i held back a sob. When i didn't say anything he continued talking.

"The police found you curled up on the floor of the car you must've fell when the truck hit you're car, you're extremely lucky" I tried getting up but the doctor stopped me.

"Whats going to happen to me?"

No, no, mom and dad are alive. He just shook his head. And i knew it from that moment on that my life made a wrong turn. I couldnt hold in the sobs anymore,I fell back in bed crying my eyes out. Suddenly memories of my mom in her floral dress came back when she was making lunch, she was an awful cook, but me and dad never told her that. Memories of my dad picking me up and putting me on his sholders flushed through my brain. They were gonne and I survived.
