PROULOUGE
I knew what I would see when I open my eyes; new clothes, high heels, accessories, and all of the materials I’ve wished for. Today is my birthday, I’m 542.
Another year reminding me, that I’ve live this long but I’ve never done anything.
I quickly opened my eyes and then got up and looked at all the present’s daddy left me. My room is filled of gifts that daddy left me; it was hard walking to my reading table since a lot gifts is blocking my way.
I walked to my reading table it had a cabinet right below it; I kneeled down and open the wooden door. I looked at all my journals, I have exactly 541 of them, I got one of my journals from last year,
DEAR DIARY,
I’m 541 today and yes I’m still a prisoner in my own home. But maybe it will change and daddy would let me go. So I asked him, yes I had the bravery to do it. But he said maybe next year, when I’m more respo-----
I stop my own head from reading,
Has it been that long, that I forgot!
HE SAID MAYBE! That’s like close to yes. He never says maybe he always says no! I kissed my journal and hugged. I thought this thing was just for my memories but no it’s my ticket to freedom.
I got up and jumped, “YES!” I shouted with so much glee in my voice.
“You look happy”
I jump from my feet, startled. He just sneaks up on me like that. “Thank you, thank you Daddy” I said to him, I run to his arms and gave him a big hug.
“So you like your new collection of forever 21?” Daddy asked. “No, no. Better than that” I said with so much glee.
He looked at me confused, so I explained.
“You told me when I’m old enough I can go out” I said quietly, with eyes that bored deep into his.
He thought about it for a long moment pondering the situation, “I know, I promised but remember what I promised mommy; to keep you safe” He explains to me.
“But I’m old enough now, and you promised. I’m dying here daddy, I won’t be 542 forever” I argue. I kneel to the ground.
“You don’t die, you don’t even grow old” He said.
“Daddy, I know you want to protect me but at least trust me. And I’ll be back here in New Orleans if it won’t work out” I plead one last time.
“I understand how you feel strawberry lace, but officially, we don’t belong there, it would be too dangerous for you” He looked grim as he said it.
“I don’t belong here, I’m not a vampire” I said angry
“And you’re not human, and If they’ll find out what you are, it will get a little messy” he said, angry in his turn.
“I’m going, Daddy” I said quietly, but this time I didn’t ask him, I was telling him.
“I want to be there to do whatever I can” He meant it, he understands me.
“But you have responsibilities here” I said clearly, I’m not pushing him away, But dad in the outside world it can get a little bloody.
“And I’m willing to leave all of this, and Mr. Tomlinson will take my place while we’re not here.”
His is coming with me, there are disadvantages and advantages. But having a vampire in a City wouldn’t be that easy especially when it’s Dracula.
I hugged him and kissed him on the cheeks, “Thank you, I promise you I’m gonna prove you wrong. I’m gonna be normal for once in my entire existence” I said with so much glee.
“In one condition” He said. Ohh-no, there’s a condition. I knew there was a catch. “Whatever it is I’m ready to do it” I assure him.
“Your first destination is school” He sounded dark, like he knew I would give up. He knew I hated school, I once confronted him and he let me went to school and I lasted there for 5 hours, that’s why he always win and he freaking enrolled me in preschool.
“Deal, but at least enroll me in high school” I said bravely, he nodded in response.
I’m not gonna give up this time. I won’t let anything get on my way of my freedom. “Daddy, where are we going?” I ask, please say London.
“Were going back actually”
“To where?”
“Lilbrooke” I didn’t react that much, I just smiled at him.
His making this too easy for me, Lilbrooke is the safest town I know. Nothing bad ever happens there.
