It’s time to open up myself to human beings, stop lurking in the shadows like Vampires, which I’m not one. I despise them so much even I live with one, I’ve seen what they’re capable off and it scares me and I wish I could do something. But I can’t.

I belong with them, human beings. It’s my turn. I need to live.

MARCH, the middle of the semester and I’m a senior which make things really new and awkward. Not the right time to start, But I want to finish school as fast as possible.

Just parking my mini copper in the school parking lot was kinda hard when people can’t stop staring at you. I hate when people stare at me. Unless you're cute ...... you can stare if you're cute.

When I reached the school halls, well I guess I sure made a salient entrance; all bitches were looking at me and obviously gossiping and jocks being jocks hitting on me like I was interested. Well dad said before I go out to the city, I need to start here. I couldn’t argue with him, since this is my choice.

And they didn’t stop staring till I reach my locker. “Hi” someone squealed, I close my locker door and look at the person who sounded like Barbie.

‘‘I’m the School’s council president and I’m here to welcome you to LILBROOKE HIGHSCHOOL.” She says smiling. The first human being I made a conversation with.

 “Hi” I greet.

”I’m Klate Louette Locks” she introduce. “Lillian Veredon Count” I didn’t bring my last name “Dracula” I replaced it with count. Because when people know I’m related to Dracula they’ll get suspicious and be like “Are you a vampire?” “Do you have history with vampires?” and I don’t want to deal with that.

Klate is really kind and welcoming no wonder she’s the president of the school council, I know we’re gonna great friends.

She showed me my class schedule and she takes me to our first class and she was a senior and luckily we are classmates.

I like school but not the classes and homework, Well my dad homeschooled me and it was horrible.

“Good morning, you must be Miss. Count” a friendly old looking man greets me, guess his my teacher, “Good Morning Sir” I smile

“We are happy to have a smart girl like you in our school” he says.

So people here think I’m a valedictorian from my old school in New Orleans, pretty neat. My dad compelled some people who made my permanent record, and he compelled them to write in my permanent record that I’m a valedictorian and I have a scholarship to any school I wanted to go to.

Well let me tell youwhat Compoltion is, it’s like mind control, like hypnotizing people, vampires can compel people they used it in case for emergencies, but my dad uses it a lot, but in order to use it he needs to drink a lot of blood, human blood.

“Nice to meet you, Mr. Payne” I said looking at his name tag James Niam Payne,  he smiled back as a reply.

Klate and I walked to our sits. Klate sits right next to me, and I couldn’t take another minute in here. And the worst part is we’re having Physics.

Physics is one of the worst subjects in the world. Then I thought nothing could save me from hell hole and something did!

LUNCH.

I sit with Klate and the rest of her friends; Jennifer, Kristen, & Nina. Friendship is so weird. You just pick a person you've met and you’re like “yup I like this one” and you just do stuff with them. These girls are just the right friends I needed but I still don’t trust them.
