Angela stood in her bedroom and was messing around with her Valkyrie suit. More specifically the wings. She wanted to make them more reliable to actually fly rather than float or fly to someone. She was also tweaking with the design improving the strength of the overall armor and adding a couple of small designs.
She took pride in her Valkyrie suit as it was a one of a kind and hers only. She had some help when it was being made, but afterwards, she began to tweak it and understand how it worked. She was able to make nanomolecules that would repair herself in a short amount of time should she get injured. It allowed her to be fixed while she was helping other people.
Angela backed away at her tweaking and nodded successfully. She walked over to her dresser and brushed her hair back into its normal ponytail. She had the day off so she was taking it easy. However, the doctor had caught some what of a cold, but it wasn't anything she couldn't fix. She just had to take some medicine here and there.
As Angela was tidying herself up a bit before hearing a knock at her door. The Swiss made her way to the door opening it to reveal Genji. She groaned and rolled her eyes. The ninja held a bouquet of flowers. "I know at the Halloween dance I was a little... Forward, but I have a proposition to make up for it." Angela raised an eyebrow. "How about you and I go out for dinner and-" Angela didn't let Genji finish before slamming the door in his face. "Angela?" he asked from the other side.
"Go away and leave me alone, Genji." Angela didn't wait to hear anything as she walked away from the door and plopped on her bed face-first. She was wearing a simple white t-shirt and blue jeans and no socks. She groaned into the mattress as another knock was heard a few minutes later. She pulled her head out of the mattress. "Go away Genji," she growled as the door opened.
"I feel offended," came a deep, familiar voice. Angela popped up and smiled when she saw Gabriel.
"Gabe!" Her voice was cut off by a series of cough. "Excuse me. My sickness has gotten a little worse," she said, covering her mouth. Gabriel chuckled and that's when Angela realized he held a tray in his hands. "What's that?" she asked pointing to the tray.
"Some chicken noodle soup, turkey, Mac n cheese, green beans, and a drink. It's Thanksgiving and there was a buffet down in the cafeteria." Angela tilted her head to the side, confused. "Oh right... You don't know what Thanksgiving is, do you?"
"No I don't," the Swiss woman confirmed as she scooted back against the headboard.
"It's a holiday in America that is supposed to celebrate the first between the Indians and Pilgrims or whatever. But nowadays it's just a day where you say what you're thankful and eat a lot of food." Gabriel moved forward and set the tray in Angela's lap. "Just eat up. The chicken noodle soup is to help with your cold." Angela smiled and graciously began to eat the food. Gabriel got up and began to wander around the room, his eyes stopping over the Valkyrie suit. "Been doing some modifications I see?" he examined the wings of the suit.
"Yes. I've been trying some new things with the wings," Angela replied.
Gabriel kept examining the suit as Angela finished her meal. When she was done, he came back over and picked up the tray to put it on the dresser. She sighed and melted into the pillows. "I feel a hundred times better. Thank you, Gabe." He smiled at her before putting a hand on her cheek.
"Anything for you, love."
