Chapter 7: Liam's Story

The porch door opened up once again and this time Liam walked in. He slid into the kitchen quickly where I lost sight of him. I stood up and looked out of the door frame. Liam was gone. I just sat back down and thought, he's probably just getting something to eat, when all of a sudden I looked over and he was sitting right next to me on the couch. "HOLY SHIT LIAM!" I yelled. "You scared the living shit out of me!" I said angrily. He was just laughing, "Sorry Joy! Haha! I had to!" 

I looked at him evily and then he said, "That's one of my powers." I looked at him and said, "I figured..." He just started laughing again. "Are you going to tell me your story or am I going to have to watch for myself?" I asked in a pissy tone. "What?" He asked as his face got serious. "Well with Louis and Zayn I watched a few of their powers and how they got them in their minds. I don't know how but when I looked into their eyes and wondered what their powers were I was engulfed in visions and I watched them discover a few of their powers if they didn't tell me." I explained. Liam just looked at me with a smirk and said, "I think I'd prefer telling you one of my stories but the first one I want to see you watch it." 

"Okay... So you're ready for me to look into your brain?" I laughed. "Haha dear me! Of course I guess!" He laughed with me. After we stopped laughing I looked at Liam and then I starred into his eyes. Within a few seconds his first story started in my mind.

"Vrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrooom!" Liam imitated a plane as he crashed into his sister Ruth. "Vrrroooooooooooom!" Liam said again as he ran into Nicole. "Liam!" Nicole yelled. "You ruined my nail polish!" Nicole shreeked. "Vrrrrrooom!" Liam imitated another time as he began to run away from Ruth and Nicole. His sisters started to chase him and finally they caught Liam and tackled him to the ground. They were all laughing as Nicole and Ruth tickled Liam as he squirmed and tried to get away. "Wait! Stop!" Liam laughed as he pointed to an injured animal over by their trampoline. Nicole and Ruth stopped tickling Liam and helped Liam up. They all rushed over to the trampoline to notice a hedgehog laying there with a slice in its foot. "Ew! There's blood!" Nicole cried as she ran back to the house. "It's hurt Ruth! We need to help it!" Liam said whimpering. "Well.. Um... I... I'll go get a blanket." Ruth said with a weak smile and started walking back to the house. "It's okay little guy I'll help you." Liam said as he picked up the hedgehog and it squirmed in his hand. "Ouch Ouch my foot!" Liam heard someone say. "What!? Who's there!?" Liam called as he quickly warily looked around. "Do-Down here in your hand!" Shouted the voice. Liam looked down at the hedgehog in awe and said, "You can talk!?" "Y-Yes... You are the first human that I've ever known that actually understood a word I said though..." The hedgehog said. "Does that mean I can talk to animals!?" Liam excitedly asked. "Yeah... I think so." The hedgehog added. Liam stood up with the hedgehog in his hands and said, "You'll be safe with me. What's your name?" "My name's Thor." replied the hedgehog. "Thor?! The hedgehog! That's awesome!" Liam cried as he skipped inside his house. 

As the vision ended I noticed I was crying. "Liam! You can talk to animals!" I said with a big smile on my face as I wipped my tears away. "Yup. Thats how I got Thor!" Liam said as he walked over to the cage Thor was in, picked him up, and said, "Say hi to Joy!" Thor sat up in Liam's hand and waved at me. "Awww! He's so cute!" I delighted. "I know I am!" Liam proudly stated. "Not you! Thor is adorable!" I laughed. "Oh yeah him too I guess." Liam added. Liam got back up and put Thor back in his cage then came over and sat back down next to me. "Joy I want to tell you the next power I encountered. I know that if you watch it you will be quite confused." Liam said. "Okay get started!" I said as Liam grabbed my hand and held on to it.

"Well, It starts like this... I was just getting out of my last day of 9th grade and I went over to my locker to finished cleaning my locker out. As I finished I closed my locker door and all of a sudden there were two guys standing in front of me. Go away. I said, but they just stood there. I knew that they were going to hurt me... They were the bullies that kept coming back to make fun of me and punch me. I quickly turned around and started running. My backpack was heavier than normal so as I turned the corner to find the door I threw my backpack onto the ground by the boys bathroom and ran out the door. I could hear their footsteps behind me and I kept running until I came to the other side of the school where there was a window I could hide under. Quickly I slid underneath the window and hid I saw the two boys feet and all of a sudden one of them bent over and looked under the window but he just frowned and stood back up. He's not here he said and they both kept running. I got out from under the window and looked down. Except the only thing was I couldn't see myself. I panicked and all of a sudden I saw my self again. Imediately I thought, INVISIBLITY! I was wrong though. I went over to the side of the school and put my hand on the corner but instead of just disappearing my hand turned the color of the wall. I could camoflage myself! But also those bullies never hurt me again!" Liam ended proudly.
