Chapter 5 - Surprises

*Ashton POV*

I don't know how long we sat there staring at the city lights below. How pretty things look from afar whereas up close beauty does not compare.

We sat for hours just talking about endless topics. We talked, then silence came across us and then after some time, our conversation started again, then silence. I don't know how long this cycle went on for but it was an absolutely perfect moment.

I used to hate silence but with her it was a comfortable silence, that just always managed to squeeze between our conversations.

I heard her sigh.

"Tell me about yourself Ashton, I mean you know a lot about me and if we are so called 'friends' then I should know about you. So Mr Crowes, start talking?"

"Just to make it cheesy you could have said start talking pumpkin."

Silence. Awkward...

I cleared my throat, " So I am Ashton, as you already know. I'm pretty surprised you don't know me because I am the deputy CEO of Crowes Enterprise... You know the import, export business?"

She shakes her head and this is my first time meeting someone who does not know me. Not me over exaggerating or anything but I am one of the most well known guy in the business world.

I heave a sigh, "I am the only son of my family and I have 5 sisters. I have a typical family; you know the parents, siblings and the strong family bond... I basically graduated last year and now here I am working in the family business. I live alone; well now I don't because your here and also you will be glad to hear that I am very much single."

She scoffs, "I mean I'm not glad but at the same time I am glad cuz then I won't have a rich, snob of a girl being all possessive about you know, me and the new living arrangements."

"In every rich, sexy guy's life there was always a rich snob of a girl and there has been many of them too in my past."

She does the loudest groan and I bit my lip to prevent my self from laughing.

"Fantastic, now watch how every single week, how the girls will come knocking on the door, asking for you in their slutty ass clothing and the sick sound of their high pitched voices. Gosh seen that and I don't want to see the fake barbie dolls coming to bump me when they shove me with their fake ass boobs trying to get to you."

I couldn't stop laughing at her and she just looked at me with annoyance.

When I regained my breathing back I looked at her and smirked.

"Know a lot about my ex girlfriends, don't we?"

She huffed and I laughed.

After picking up our trash and discarding it at the nearest trash can, we left.

The night was not over and their was one last surprise to give to her. Once I pulled in my driveway she looked lost in thought.

"Kitten, we're home."

I got in my home and I did not understand how I was going to reveal the news. I really do not want her to take it the wrong way at all. I locked the front door and heard her voice bouncing off the walls of my empty house.

"Thanks for Taco Bell Ashton, I need to call my sister as she probably is freaking out right now and I should also get to bed."

As she takes her step towards the stairs I speak,

"You could go to bed but you should prepare a bag before you go to sleep, don't you think?"

She turns around and looks at me with her eyebrows furrowed and looking confused as ever.

"I hope you don't mind but I enrolled you into college, I generally think you would like it and I promise you, nothing will be the same as high school and you could also achieve your dreams and become something and make your parents proud and also I could offer your sister a job too so she could support herself and I promise this is not out of pity -"

I did not even see it coming but she hugs me. I don't do hugs and I am not starting now.

"Oh my god. Oh my god, oh my! Your joking right? No you are not. Thank you Ashton but I really can't afford college and I don't know how I'm going to pay for the expenses and all but god how it was my dream to go college and study law."

"You don't need to worry about expenses and in a way your sister will pay as she is working for me."

She jumped and squealed like a little girl.

Thank god. I think this bet will surely be won by me and it makes me happy.

I tried to upload last week but stupid schools and stupid exams and stupid time. God everything is stupid.

Not the best chapter but I hope more people are reading it and I promise you it will get better.
