It was night.

Namjoon had finally worked up the courage to ask Seokjin for a dance. He couldn't believe he managed it. He never imagined he would actually say yes! Now he was wondering...what the hell was he thinking?

While he was busy agonizing, Taehyung and the rest of the servants helped Namjoon get ready. They also offered emotional support.

"Master, it's perfect. The rose only has four petals left, which means tonight, you can finally tell him how you feel," said Taehyung.

Namjoon buried his face in his paws. "I feel like a fool. He will never love me."

"Don't be discouraged. He is the one."

"I wish you'd stop saying that! There is no 'one'!"

Taehyung smirked. "You do care for him, don't you? Now is the time to woo him!"

"Yes," Hoseok added. The two loved to tag team Namjoon. "And when the moment's just right...well, y'know!"

Namjoon sighed. "How will I even know?"

"You'll feel slightly nauseous," Yoongi advised.

"Just stop being so nervous and tell him how you feel," Jimin said matter-of-factly. "And if you don't, I promise you'll drink nothing but cold tea for the rest of your days!"

"In the dark," Taehyung waved his candle hands around.

"Covered in dust," Hoseok finished.

And with that, the servants went to work on his outfit. After some trial and error (lots and lots of error), they finished. They had restored the suit from his last waltz. With pressed black pants, a dark suit with a blue flowered pattern, and a slightly ruffled white collar. It was perfect.

It was also painful. He wore that suit when he first transformed into the beast.

If he had his happy ending, he would wear it when he became human again.

Meanwhile, the madame had prepared Seokjin's look. She had truly outdone herself. It was fit for a prince.

He wore black pants black coat that was elegantly decorated with white lines and symbols. His white shirt underneath had a ruffled white collar similar to what Namjoon was wearing.

"Beautiful!" she would have clapped on the spot. Seokjin smiled at her and walked down the staircase. Namjoon was waiting for him at the bottom. He gave him a corny little bow. Namjoon laughed and returned it. When they met, they linked arms and walked to the ballroom together.

Seokjin wasn't one for dancing. He had only waltzed once in his life. Namjoon had a bit more experience, so he lead. The two swayed to the music. Jimin sang along to the tune of the piano.

"Tale as old as time. True as it can be. Barely even friends, then somebody bends unexpectedly."

Seokjin gazed at Namjoon as they danced. Namjoon may have been a beast, but he was not hideous. It surprised him to admit it, but this beast hid something much more. Of all the secrets in the hidden castle, this was the most surprising.

"Just a little change, small to say the least. Both a little scared. Neither one prepared..."

What was this feeling? It was new. It was powerful. At that moment, all they wanted was to be in the other's arms.

"Beauty and the beast."

Namjoon wanted to tell him. How much he admired Seokjin. How he would be a dim star in a blank sky without him. How he loved him.

Seokjin made him believe he was more than a monster. Even before his changed, he knew he was just a foul beast in a man's body. Seokjin changed that.

Story books lie. Love at first sight is not real. Seokjin knew this.

Love that grows from something spectacular...well, that was something the stories knew all about.

"Tale as old as time. Song as old as rhyme..."

"Beauty and the beast."
